Morning all!
hope all is well with you and your kitties.
Yesterday was the first day of his full fat dose of 0.5u (pretty hard to do i must say!)

AMPS 93.6 breffis eaten and then some :smile:
+1.25 88.2 tried to feed...not interested....will try a lil bit shortly

Very nice numbers for Rocket this morning! I hope you can get him to eat.
So, the family is coming for a visit, are they! Yea!!! (I think, lol).

I'm feeling much better...still a bit stiff and being extra careful with the stitches...but the incision is ITCHY!!! :sad: so i guess it means it's healing ok....dr said to keep it dry at all times and no creams or oitments until after i go see her on Dec 22 to get the stitches removed....

folks arrive tonight....the list is ready for all the errands they have to do ;-) ....dad has to put the lights outside :lol: ...no worries...i'll keep them busy the 3 weeks they're here!!! :-D

it won't be stressful for Rocket while they're here as he gets extra attention from my dad...Comet gets the extra attention from my mom...so it evens out! (since we have no children...they're my folks fur-grandchildren! :lol: :lol: ) They both get acknowledged by both set of parents at Christmas....both Rocket and Comet have their own stocking with their names engraved on it at my in-laws...full of goodies...

+3 57.6 fluids given but did not eat much chicken dust

Am happy you are starting to feel better! NO LOTION! DOES YOUR DOCTOR KNOW THIS IS ALBERTA! :lol: I don't know about you, but for me, come winter, I can use a tub of lotion per limb and still be dry....
Rocket is having some really nice numbers!
I hope you enjoy your visit with the folks, where are they coming from?

I love that your parents have such a big heart for Rocket and Comet. Their getting their own stockings made my day!!!!!

Rocket is having a great day - keep it up Rocket!!!!

When I had surgery I was told by my surgeon to use pure vitamin E oil to help with itching and scarring. It can ruin clothes though. I was off work so it didn't matter - I had recovery clothes ;)

yeah no lotion...nothing...must be DRY at all times she said...which is driving me crazy!!! darn itchy!!!

folks are coming from WINTERPEG!....for those of you who don't know where that is....the name of the city is actually Winnipeg (still in Canada) but it's known for it's bitterly cold cold cold winters....hence the nickname Winterpeg!

spoiled...yes indeed!!! and mom can be Rocket's nanny too while i'm out...last few times they've been here she knows to feed him every few hrs so she will be able to either put him infront of his food or bring food to Sir Rocket the King!....maybe i will teach her to test him too...she herself is type 2 diabetic no insulin though...

i'm still all taped up though....the stitches are underneath the tape...tape is to be removed by doctor...she specifically said NO vit E or anything else....the tape is covering the actual incision....taking showers is quite the ordeal too.... :sad:

i was really not expecting that +9 64.8 :o :shock: :o :shock:
had to look at the meter like 5 times....i fed him at +6.5 so since he was already going up at +4.5 i figure he was ok not to be poked and decided to give his little ears a rest....got really busy w last minute stuff here at home...and then figured i'd test at +9.....surprise surprise!!! :o :o fed him his afternoon snack....

i told him that since my folks arrive tonight he better not give me any drama....i said to him he needs to ease them into the new routine that we now have here....

Rocket is looking so good today and I'm glad you are feeling a little better except for the dry itchy skin. That must be driving you nuts! I love that your parents are so loving and caring towards your babies.

It's a blip for the Rocket. Not to worry. Often +1 is higher than the PS. Have a great evening and a wonderful visit with your folks. And don't scratch!

thank you Ella....it is not the norm for Rocket to be high at +1 but then again these kitties sure keep us on our toes, don't they?

+2.5 90 feeding a lil food.....

the higher #s can not be stress related from having company over....folks are not here just yet...plane was delayed
