Yesterday
Morning to you all! Shadow had 4 Ps yesterday and 3 so far this morning. He and Raja were sitting close in the living room after breffis. I think he does try to keep her somewhere out in the open so I can grab her for her shot. It really looked like they were talking there...just sitting there together.

OT: Today I pick up the radioactive pill I have to take for my nuclear thyroid scan tomorrow. They hyper thyroid makes you very shaky and nervous. My system is going at a pace that is so fast and extremely uncomfortable. I can't concentrate on too much at all. So, I have not been feeling too well lately folks. I feel like I am going out of my mind!! This has been going on for a few months now, sonogram and blood tests have been done, appointment with Endocrinologist on 28th of Dec. I have miles to go before I start feeling any better which is very upsetting...
BTW, I have lost a bit of weight and I think it all came off my face...I look like hell.
So, I thought I would share this with you all. You don't want to know ho hard it is to measure the insulin or do the tests....OMG...what a shaking mess my hands are!

So, as for Shadow: he is such a sweetie as usual. I was surprised to see the greens last night! I hope he will surf some nice colors this morning! Happy Tuesday everyone! And thank you for stopping by to visit today..... :YMHUG:

Re: 12/14 Pat's Shadow AMPS=208

sorry to hear you're not feeling well, I'll be thinking of you tomorrow as you go for your scan, hope it goes well and you start doing better soon.

So nice and considerate of Shadow trying to keep Raja out where you can grab her. Such a sweet boy

Re: 12/14 Pat's Shadow AMPS=208

:YMHUG: Pat.

So the scan is tomorrow? Will keep you in our prayers that they find a treatable condition and you can get back to normal.

Re: 12/14 Pat's Shadow AMPS=208

Good morning guys! Nice numbers for shadow last night and a nice start out on the yellow floor today, very close to the blue door! I am sorry to hear you are not feeling well .. years ago my dad had his thyroid removed because it was overactive. I was about 12 at the time and it was a very rough time for everyone because he didn't know what was going on and he didn't know how to control his "mood swings" Now when he is cranky we all ask, DID YOU TAKE YOUR PILL

Re: 12/14 Pat's Shadow AMPS=208

What a good boy, Shadow, to help your sister out and teach her how to wait for her test/shot. I bet Santa will bring you an extra nip toy for being so good....and not such a bad number today...almost blue...bet you'll be blue before long!

Pat, wow, sorry to hear about you not feeling so well. Going through that must really be hard on you, I can't imagine. Sounds much worse than menopause to me. I'm glad you shared with us tho. We will all be keeping you in our thoughts and prayers and you know the power of the board!!!
Hoping that your scan goes well and that you can start your road to recovery. ((Pat))

Re: 12/14 Pat's Shadow AMPS=208

Good luck today Pat. Some days I wish I was hyperthyroid but without all the side effects and health issues. ohmygod_smile

Shadow has a job and he's doing it well :)

Re: 12/14 Pat's Shadow AMPS=208

Oh man. I've been thinking about you all day and it's making my eyes all watery.
I really wish that they could speed up the healing process for you, it must be so frustrating trying to keep it all together while waiting on tests and procedures, etc.

And you're right.... I don't want to watch you try to get those syringes filled with any sort of accuracy! OMG! I can't imagine doing that with shaking hands - it is hard enough to do with steady hands.

(((((Big big hugs to you!)))))

P.S. Beautiful numbers for Shadow!

Fed them earlier at +7 since I had to go to get a haircut. She did a great job, so I had the rest of them cut too!
Wel. they said i had to pick up a pill. What happened was that they injected me with contrast and took pictures of my thyroid, front, right and left. Tomorrow I have to have the nuclear scan.
Thank you all for your kin words. Yes, there is great power in this Board....so, thank you for your thoughts and prayers. I appreciate them!
I will not be on any meds until after I speak with a doctor on Dec 28th. This is the way I will feel all through my trip and Christmas. :-|
Anyway, will be back soon with the PMPS...see you later!

Re: 12/14 Pat's Shadow AMPS=208

(((Pat))) I am hoping for a smooth test procedure tomorrow, and for you to be on the track back to health soon. Wouldn't you know it that you lost all the weight from your face (and you know the 2nd place women usually lose weight from). We may have to get Miriam to do some baking to put some weight back on you. I know you are a beautiful person, inside and out, so I refuse to believe that you look like hell. Just put on your Wonder Woman outfit, and give them hell tomorrow.

I once had a radioactive injection for a test. The nurse had on big foil gloves up to her elbows, a hood, and tongs about 3 feet long to handle this big syringe. Then she sticks the syringe into me! Hello! Just think of all of that radiation giving you a healthy glow tomorrow!

You know that the love and support of the board is behind you, right? I hear that it is cold enough for snow pretty much in Florida right now, but all of that white stuff you see falling won't just be for spoiling the orange crop, it will be to get you back to feeling like your old former self again soon. We luvs you, Pat.

Re: 12/14 Pat's Shadow AMPS=208

((Linda)) many thanks to you for all he wonderful things you said....
I am so silly...I actually had a thyroid scan today...duh... and a radioactive iodine uptake test will be tomorrow. Interesting.. The did inject some radioactive stuff in my vein and took the pictures. They gave me a pill there too and that will show them tomorrow how the thyroid is actually functioning. I think it's actually a PET scan.

Roni....many thanks for the kind loving words and the vines...
And CD...thank you too! Leaning on table helps to steady the arm and the hand...and good strong glasses with a very bright light helps too.

Karrie..you are a riot! The side effects are not very pleasant! the scale looks interestingly nice though....
And Deb....as far as I am concerned....yes, it is worse than menopause was for me, but it is not lasting more than a few months. (due to my not being able to get in right away to see an Endocrinologist......) My doctor waited and retested after one month and then made the appt
Devon and Beth...thank you for being there for me.....I appreciate all of you so very much :YMHUG:

Hi Pat, I'm a little late to Shadow's condo today, but I want to tell you that once all the tests are over and the doctors know the optimal way to treat your condition, you will be on the road to feeling better. They have so many new ways to treat this condition now. I believe that there is an I-131 procedure for people (sort of like the one for cats). Cats who have I-131 have to use World's Best Litter for weeks afterwards, but you wouldn't have to do this!
Anyway, we are thinking positive thoughts for tomorrow's diagnostic and lots of vines and snowflakes are heading your way this evening. Stay positive! It will be OK!

Many hugs,
Ella

p.s. The Shad-0 looks good.
