Morning ~O) and a nice mid blue AMPS for Maggie girl. It looks like she had a nice overnight surf and ate when low, as it was almost a CPC. All is well in Maggie Land with four P's so far. Looking forward to Mannie's Espresso coffee delivery. ~O) ~O)

I awoke again to Maggie sleeping beside me, such a treat. She has become extra cuddly lately, and I have to think it's because she's feeling well.
I must get out and about today for some Christmas shopping. I'm thinking gift cards and Trader Joe's to make my shopping less stressful. Yesterday I stayed in and got caught up with stuff here. It was such a downpour all day and windy, many flooded roads and mudslides, too. I don't trust my tires and must buy some new ones soon! We had an inch and a half rainfall. I just heard on the news that we had an earthquake, but it was further to the east of me, so I didn't feel it.
Healing vines for all kitties needing them.

Morning guys, nice amps this morning! Good luck with the Christmas shopping, I am almost done thank Goodness! How cute is Maggie cuddling with you that is awesome. I am sure it is because she is feeling better. Pretty cold here this morning, was supposed to go down to the 30's which as you know is pretty cold for CA. Supposed to rain on and off all weekend. Hope you have a happy Fursday!

Good luck with your shopping. Isn't it GR888888 when it's all done? ..Gift cards and Trader Joes are good ideas! Everybody likes Trader Joes.. I suffer TJ withdrawals while we're in FL. enjoy it enough for me too??

Green Lagoon again! :mrgreen: I didn't feel I had the full 11 drops in Mags today, one of those dose days, and I'm procrastinating on the calipers.

Michelle, thanks and I love her cuddles, too. She just started the routine lately. She starts out in the living room and then a couple hours later starts chatting away and wants picked up and taken to bed.

Hi Melissa, rain should be gone this afternoon I think. I probably won't do TJ's today, as some flooding of roads in that area.

Good news for Detective Poo -- Mags had prezzies early afternoon. She didn't even cover them; I guess this was to make sure I noticed! :lol:

I had a terrible time with the Arkay Vital Meter just now and getting the right amount of blood on the meter. So I tried my back-up meter, Relion Confirm, and it seems to suck up the blood more easily. I may switch and use the RC as my prime meter and the Arkay as my back-up.

Ella, it seems Mags has left the Green Lagoon but paws crossed will be back tonight. I didn't make it to TJ's today. I started the drive and then saw there was hugh traffic jam with some fender benders, so took a side street and circled back the opposite way. Maybe tomorrow.

Thanks John and PurrFace for visiting. Mags is flattening out on this dose. I'm experimenting a little with the timing of the food, too.

Mary & Ollie, thanks for visiting -- I didn't see you up there earlier. Yes, it will be great when it's all done if only I could get motivated. :lol:

Roni, Christmas isn't too big of a deal with me either as all my family is on the east coast. I usually go out to a restaurant with friends the week of and on Christmas Day. I got nothing done today as far as presents. I ended up having coffee with a friend and then did a little grocery shopping.

Yay on the prezzies and the nice greens today. :mrgreen: The Relion Confirm does suck up the blood good. Just this evening I didn't think I got enough blood for Furball's test and it gave me a good reading.

Detective Poo, thanks for checking off Mags on your report. I noted it in the subject to catch your eye. :-D Poor Mags seems all tuckered out today. Now we have to work on sweet Moonie.

Carla, yes it does suck up a smaller amount of blood. I've been using a thinner lancet on Mags so as to heal the bump, and the downside is a smaller drop and more pokes to get the drop.
Did you try and return the Relion Prime to Walmart, by any chance?

Ann I didn't try to return the Relion Prime to Wal-Mart because I noticed that it is stated on the box it cannot be returned to Wal-Mart. It states you have to call the company for a return. I haven't had time to call them yet.

Wow you got an inch and a half of rain? Lots more than we got here, lucky you, but sorry about the flooding.
 
Nice day for Mags! I switched from the Prime to the Vital earlier this year...it IS amazing how much of a difference the size of the drop is! I find that if I go in to the drop at an angle, I have a good chance of not getting an error...but I also do use a good sized lancet, too. Trix's ears have a few bumps also, but when those pop up, I hit a different spot on her ear until the bump goes down. Of course I wish I didn't have to poke her sweet little ears at all, but we have to keep them safe!

Ann & Tess, yes, we seemed to get the rain all in that one day. It's still raining this morning, but we did get a break yesterday afternoon. Thanks on Mags and the food experiment on her numbers. If only it would help her creatinine values! It has helped her phosphorus and BUN.

Hi Amy, I think I will go back to the thicker lancet, as too many pokes with the thinner lancet to get the right size drop. Thanks on going in at an angle with the Vital meter. Someone else also mentioned the same.
