12/14 google outage resolved impacting spreadsheet access

since about 6:40 a eastern. many google services including sheets are down. it appears to be quite widespread.

An ongoing issue with Google's servers has brought down many of the company's cloud services, leaving millions of users without access to their data.

Multiple services including YouTube, Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs and Google Photos are all currently affected.

Users are currently unable to access multiple Google services.

As of now, the popular service tracking site, DownDetector, reveals a huge spike in Google problems starting at around 6:40 am ET today.

A massive spike in reported problems reveals a major issue with Google services.

The cause of the outage is not yet known and Google's own workspace status dashboard currently shows all services as working normally.
