Wow, that was a pretty big bounce! I guess that 52 was a big shock to the system, and it was a fast drop too from 173.
That is such a hard situation. There was no way to know he was going to have such a big drop so I don't know how you could have stopped it.

I have never seen Ravan's BG this high for so long? He's still eating & acting OK so far!

The good news is he'll probably be over it tomorrow. Ravan is clearing his bounces much faster. As hard as it is, try to not to analyze the why’s of a particular cycle. The cats are in charge.

Ravan has dropped into 30's & never bounced into #'s this high! Just when I was feeling hopeful that things were getting better. I have no idea why he's this high for so long.
I'm worried. How are we supposed to know our cat? With Ravan I never know what to expect! The constant up & down is Very depressing.
He's eating good ,but only raw meat.He's still drinking a lot of water & huge puddles in the litter box.
