Yesterday unexpectedly Mac dropped fast from 394 to 60 at +5. I had an appt in the afternoon so originally I thought I would be good with that high of AMPS. So I fed Mac MC foods before I left to get him into the 70's. When I returned a few hours later he was still in the 70's. Then I had plans to go out last night. So I fed him more MC at +10 and had a friend give him his shot a few hours later. Good news. He stayed safe without going over the top high. I have a few more evening activities over the next week. (Christmas and birthday stuff) then I will go back to my usual stay at home schedule. I need to treat it like a "vacation" schedule, reducing slightly and feeding MC as needed.
It's a journey, not a destination.
