What a very pleasant surprise for me this morning, especially since I thought I heard Spot cough up a fur something three minutes before taking his morning test. Spot also gave me a wonderful green day yesterday!!! I was so proud of him. Since I have officially completed my cookie baking schedule on Saturday, I was blessed with the whole day to spend with the ones I love the most...mom, niece, nephew, Spot, Ralphie, Ali, & Molly. The furries took turns sitting on my lap throughout the day, and Spot decided he wanted to hog up the whole afternoon and made the others share the other side of the lap! I found the laser light and it was just so funny to watch Spot run after the light...like a little kitty again...well, his endurance wasn't quite as long, but for a 12 year old kitty, he did just fine!
For those of you who may have seen my post on FB in regards to Ralphie....I have a vet visit scheduled for 4:30 today for a check up. If you didn't catch it, I have been worried about him lately. He has been acting depressed, sleeping a lot, not playing, not crying with his stuffed toy in his mouth, not jumping up on the bed (needed to give his bum a lttle push up most times), hardly purring and sometimes it appears as if he isn't seeing well. He has NOT lost any bit of his appitite though, lol. Anyway, He was acting more depressed/sleeping more on Saturday and I was a bit concerned and posted on FB. Saturday night, when we went to bed, he was laying on the foot of the bed, looking like he was sleeping, but with his head up. I got him and laid him on my chest, where he laid on his side, head still up. Eventually after a bit of petting, he put his head down and started to go to sleep. His little paws would jerk in his sleep and his tail was moving. He then got still, so I kind of blew in his ear and that moved. Then all of a sudden he gave a sigh and all twitching, tail moving stopped, and he got a bit heavier....my heart stopped...I was thinking, oh my God, don't tell me he just stopped breathing!!!! I blew in his ear and it didn't move....I panicked and started to sit up....and his little head just popped up and looked at me like "whatchadoing??". Poor little thing must have been so tired he just conked out and I over-reacted and woke him up! Anyway, yesterday he seemed to be doing a lot better and last night, for the first time in a few days, I got him to purr. I started to give him some fish oil to help with his bones (some folks on FB thought he maybe suffering from old Mr. Art). He was a little better this morning, but I made an appointment at 4:30. So, please keep him in your thoughts and prayers today.
I hope everyone has a wonderful day! Keeping drooler Chase and his family in our thoughts and prayers and Congratulations to Bid on going OTJ!!!
