Knew she'd be higher than h*ll today after skipping last night. But better too high for a day or two than too low for a moment. 98 was just too low to shoot not knowing if she'd eat. I can adjust her insulin or even use a bolus to pull her down but can't get her 50 miles to the ER vet if she crashes in the middle of the night and won't eat.
She's doing a little better today...little more active and at least trying to eat. All the wrong things of course ...Honey ham, milk, mac & cheese, gravy food. etc but right now if she'll eat it she gets it. We'll worry about the menu once she's over her bug. It's looking more and more like a cold as she now has watery eyes, drippy nose and sounds congested. Still no fever that I can tell.
If she's not better by Monday off to the vet's she goes..
