Yesterday's Condo: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=31911

It is only 18F this morning, Attie is reflecting the windchill with a blue this morning. This time last year it is estimated is when he was dumped into the local urban park. I wonder if he thinks about that.... http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Finic ... &topic=227 I think Attie is going low overnight and giving me a bounce the next day. I did get a plus 5 reading last night and it was 230. Attie was exceptionally purry and asking for more food at that time...which I let him have. What I don't know is if he dropped from 230 to the upper blues...or if this morning's blue is the rise for a bounce. I suspected it yesterday...too. I am OK with it as these don't seem to be the nasty hard bounces like he was getting. (anti-jinx).

Gary was here early this morning, but my back doors are frozen shut. :o I put his bowl in one barncoat pocket and a can of food in the other. With that in my pocket, I had to go through the front door, use the shovel, make a foot path to the backyard. There Gary waited, he even gave me a few good morning meows! It is still snowing and we're expecting those blizzard winds and at least 2 more feet of snow. I came back up front after trying to dislodge the backdoors...no luck. Ice from yesterday rain is frozen in the tracks. :?

The lodge did well it seems last night. I reached in with my ungloved hand to retrieve the hot pack sock and gee...it wasn't too bad at all. The 7 hour hot packs were still warm after 8 hours too. and Gary had the sock in the middle of his nest. LOL. Recall last night I had just fluffed the straw and left the sock in the box. When he made his nest he put the sock in the middle of it. ;-) I put two fresh hot packs in the sock and returned it to the nest.

Ice Pond, Ice Pond, Snow Cream, and hot Carob totties today ...bring your skates! ~~Attie

Oh man...the ice pond is like ready guys...!!! Just watched the truck go sliding through it right into my front yard!!! Snow, mud, and dirt ...everywhere!!! Beans kinda upset, she's out there taking pictures...but man that ice is smoooooth....~~Attie

The neighbor is kind enough to promise to help me fix the yard in the spring. My, my it is going to be a very long winter at this rate. Hmmm...coming up on a plus two reading? Did he bounce or are we skating?

Pssst...Mannie I thought you were going to talk to him about this outfit! The Bean

Well, now I am freezing and tearing up a little too after reading your condo this morning Beth....my goodness...
Atlas certainly has been fortunate with some of the breaks he has gotten. but sad to think of how he got to be all alone last year in the snow like that. So sad. But, he really had some breaks after he was found. I am so happy that he is with you now.
And what you go through to help your little friend Gary too! Bless you Beth for your loving and caring heart... Sending hugs to you on this nasty Monday.... :YMHUG: Blizzard winds and snow, eh? Oh my. I hope you can keep warm and have a wonderful day....

Re: 12/13 Atlas AMps 192, +2 192 Holding Steady

Atlas is one very lucky boy to have found you. Reading Atlas' story truly makes me hope that karma exists. We know how you will be treated. I can only hope the person that abandoned Atlas gets their just reward.

Talk about a flat curve!!

Your description of Gary, waiting patiently for you made me think of this: http://www.simonscat.com/snowbusiness.html

Hot Torties...for Binks! ~O) ~O) drinking11

Edit: Hmmm...course I don't think Attie's skating costume helped that idea....

Two teaspoons finely ground coffee:
-substitute finely ground espresso for a kicky hot drink
-use decaf for a more mellow flavor
-you can also use instant coffee powders

4 and a half cups milk:
-substitute two cups of heavy cream for a richer experience

1 and 1 half tablespoons of cocoa powder
-carob can also be used, in the same amounts as chocolate

2 and 1 half tablespoons of sugar or sugar substitute
-1 tablespoon of honey works very well
-2 tablespoons of maple syrup also can be used

1/8th teaspoon almond extract
1/4 teaspoon pumpkin spice
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

WHAT? No hot torties?   that actually sound really good....

I too am touched about attie's start with you. It's like he was meant to be there. Karma to those who dumped him...

OH Attie..... dude! ditch the pink man. Didn't we talk about what dudes wear? I will bring you something... ~~ Mannie

Ok, so let's see where Attie decides to go tonight! Course there is the OTJ Party ....

Brutal cold here right now. 16F with windchills of -5F.... Gary stopped by for dinner, actually I don't think he left the lodge according to his kitty prints in the snow. While he ate I refreshed his hotpacks, but will need to go out and put two more in the lodge at around 11pm or midnight.

The thermal curtains went up in the back family room and the wind is still whistling through the new windows. So much for Anderson seals on the windows!

Attie has taken up residence on my bed with the big quilted polar fleece blanket. Shh...I even saw him sharing it with MudCat!

Re: 12/13 Atlas AMps +11 210, PMps 314

another kitty in the pink zone - so it Mannie. Maybe the OTJ party will get them moving, bring down their numbers. maybe.

Now that is cold... and shesshhh on the windows, and the cold still comes in - wow. -5... i can't imagine how cold that it.... i'm having new one put in my basement, hoping it will eliminate some of the cold down there. got to be better than the originals: single pane thin pieces of junk. :? It is so great that you are taking care of Gary in all that cold. Very cool.

stay warm there and have a good night.

I have to admit I am very concerned about him. Might be time to call the animal warden. Since I can't catch him...
