Hello my friends! It's been so long since I've popped in to say hello. Darwin continues to do well. However, I regret to say I will be back on here because our senior civvie was just diagnosed with FD 
Ben is 17.5 years old, and has been on chronic Pred for severe inter-vertebral disc disease/arthritis following an accident MANY years ago. He has severe mobility issues as it is, and was diagnosed with (pre-clinical) dilated cardiomyopathy in April of this year.
He started urinating more frequently and has had a ravenous appetite the past week, so I checked his BG - 393. Boo!
Urine strip at work showed 4+ urine glucose, but no ketones - yay! Waiting on full labwork and fructosamine, but we'll likely start him on Lantus Sunday morning.
