Sid has been busy bouncing all over the place. I've been very diligent about always being within 15 minutes of a 12 hour shot cycle and giving him the same consistent dose. Last night I was positive I gave him a fur shot and then when I checked him at +4.75, he was at 202. I showed the vet his spreadsheet and she said that she has never had a patient with numbers all over the place like his. My first thought: Maybe she hasn't had that many diabetic patients? or maybe Sid's numbers are really crazy? I use a ReliOn micro - should I get a different meter? I used a Freestyle (I think it was) with Jake and a ReliOn and I like the ReliOn much better.
So, other than vomiting almost every day (but I think this might happen more often with the beef FF), Sid has been doing OK. I'd like his numbers in the greens and I keep hoping that we get there.

Gabby does not do well with beef. It's a variety that many cats have trouble with. Somehow, I don't think a housecat is able to have beef when hunting in the wild. You might want to see if Sid does better when you eliminate beef.

Can you try to get at least one spot check during the AM cycle? I want to see if there's a low he's bouncing off during the day. It also looks like Sid was doing better on more insulin.

Re: 12/13/11 Sid AMPs 375 PMPs 322 +3 216

The earliest spot check I could get during the week would be a +6 and that is only if I am able to leave work and come home for lunch. Otherwise the only spot checks happen on the weekends or evenings. Tonight I took one at +3 and he was 216.
