12/9 Olive OTJ Trial Day 6 with update | Feline Diabetes Message Board - FDMB
I realize you all mean well and only care about Olive, and there's really nothing I can say to help you understand the situation because you're not here. You aren't seeing Olive and how she's responding. How bad off she was before. You aren't here to talk to Olive's vet who is well versed in feline diabetes and has gotten many cats into remission by her own merit through her career. Her vet has been proven in both Eastern and Western medicine. It's why I decided to travel so far away, just to get her to the right person. Olive is a unique case, which is why this trial must seem so totally out of this world to you. I get that. This has been a "trial" and it's working. Sometimes you need to stop asking how it's working or why it's working and just accept the fact it is indeed WORKING. If you want, you can give credit to all the holistic measures we've taken since the beginning, a raw food diet being priority, topped by the fact Olive's a unique case, but I know who I give the credit to...I give God the glory here because I KNOW I've done a lot of praying over this and with God all things are possible. For me, there is no other explanation required.
I appreciate all your help over the months, I really do. I never would have reached this point without all of your help and support. I love Olive and there's nothing I would do to harm her. I've trusted you all for all these months, now I need you to trust ME. You don't have to agree with me and that's fine. That's your absolute right. But I pray you will always remember that animals are more than data sheets and BG numbers. Olive started improving once we started listening to her. Who knows what the future holds, but for now, day 14 is growing closer, Olive continues to improve, and we're beyond excited at the thought of her going OTJ. I'm going to stay positive. I'll be back on that day to celebrate Olive's victory.
