Yesterday was F L A T day in MannieLand. :-D :-D Things were pretty even all day - loved it when his amps and pmps were the same numbers. :cool: It was equally nice to not see any pinks during the day! WOOT on that. I really look forward to seeing where he us at once the AB's are done. I hope that my blue kitty is back - paws crossed. Yesterday was also appy issue day.... the morning cycle was awful. 8 cans opened on the counter, until finally one appealed to him. Then it was mixes and combos of anything and everything just to get his normal fuds into him. :shock: :shock: :shock: If he had not eaten well at pmps the vet would have gotten a call, and we would have changed AB's. We will see how today goes, they still may get that call. I hope that the greek yogurt is settling his stomach some. It seems to be, but I just can't be certain. Paws crossed, and 4.5 days to go on the Clavamox. Love ya big guy... and so sorry for that nasty medicine... cat_pet_icon

I want to thank all of you for the good wishes for my sons cat. I thought I'd give you all a breif update: he could not get an appt with the eye specialist until this Wednesday - an even that took some begging. He really wanted to get that cat in yesterday... part of me really wishes that his vet would have called to make the appt, as they could have gotten him in sooner then, in theory. For now he continues with the meds they have given him. I guess this eye specialist serves OR, ID, WA etc, just not local - they have pets flown/brought in there. I can see why they are so busy... Anyways... thanks for the well wishes - it appreciated, and I know Bosco really needs them. The condition is potentially very serious. We will hope for the best.

All is well in MannieLand. :-D :-D Well, in his opinion all is well. He's in good spirits, does his normal Mannie things, and cannot for the life of him figure out why his bean is so stressed out over fuds. And a messy LB. :lol: :lol: :lol: I can so see the look every time I approach: "You so seriously need to take a chill break... I is FINE!" :lol: :lol: :lol: OK Mannie... will do. Our weather is so typical of fall here: misty, cold, overcast, somewhat dreary... so goes our rainy days. It was another sleep in his bed days for Mannie, after all - who wants to go out in that? Every hour or so he'd take a break, visit the nanners, shuffle them around a bit, slobber all over them, and then back to bed. What a life! :-D I did get "THAT GLARE" when I drug out the vacuum: that was an immediate camp out on, and protect, the nanners..... at all costs..... I vacuumed around him. ;-) This morning we had a great test, feed and shoot and clean plate club , purrs and lots of cuddles. Normalcy in MannieLand. :cool:

Have a great day everyone. I'm not too sure what will be here today. Maybe gift wrapping, and then a hike here locally. Might go for breakfast with my son, if he can get his kitty medicated, and out the door with enough time to eat before has to be at work. Paws crossed!!!

Hey everybody! What's up???? You guys wanna go snowboarding today? We gots lots of really great snow in our moutnians - it is still snowing as we speak! It would be so fun! We could build a snow fort and stuff too. I got the bus all packed with fleece and hats and mittens and scarves and stuff... plus several pots of hot tuna toddy's bubbling away on the stove. I have all the fixin's for cocoa too. AND! I installed a pizza oven in the bus - sweet...we is all set! What'd'ya think? You guys wanna go??? let me know - I am ready for anything! ~~ Mannie

I'm sorry about Mannie's appy issues. I'm sure when his little tummy isn't feeling well, it's hard to get excited about any food. Those 4.5 days can't end soon enough! I bet your cat food store LOVES you with all the different cans you buy. Scritches and prayers from us to you and to Bosco also. Have a nice hike

Hi Michelle - LOL on the 9 cans of food open on the counter - I just get exasperated sometimes! Leo doesn't have appy problems often, but the last couple times he tanked, he did. Last night I think we went through 5 cans. Fart. Vacuuming AROUND Mannie - Leo heads straight for under the bed! LOL! But at home last weekend, I saw MOLLY with one of his nanners, just sitting right in the middle of the living room floor with it. As if saying, "I've got it. You may chase me, but this nanner is MINE and my bean will protect me."

Mannie, dude! Tuna toddies - my favorite! A pizza oven in the Bus?!? ROCK ON! I brings special toppings - the bean still has chicken livers. She heated a piece for me last night about 2am and it all EXPLODED in the make-it-warm box! She said a rotten word and had to clean pink foam from all over, but I gots MORE! Get me at the window ~Leo

Morning Michelle and so sorry on Mannie's appy. I hope it's better today and sending some vines. Wow on the eight cans, smorgasbord there, Mannie! :-D Come on and eat something. Mags has a messy bottom, too; well, it wouldn't have been so bad had the Bean cleaned it up right away! Something about the cold must give our kitties the sleepies, as Mags slept all day, too. I hope your son's kitty is healing and takes the meds in time for you and he to have breakfast, my fav meal of the day. Good luck on the Christmas stuff.

Only 4.5 more days of clavamox to go. They'll go quickly now. It's good that Mannie had better appreciation of his fuds this morning. Yesterday sounded stressful. Now, today's task: get those bgs down. We want to see blue, maybe even green. OK Mannie?

Hey Mannie,

My bean gots one of those heater things that just plug in. It looks like a fireplace and is oh so toasty warm. I need help to get in my wagon and then we can go. I'm going to stay by the fireplace and warm my paws and whiskers, no snowboarding for me! Mmmmmm, cocoa and pizza by the fireplace....something you all can enjoy after, I'll keep it warm and snuggly while you play in the snow.

Morning Lisa ~O) ~O) ~O) Oh I know on those 9 cans... THX to gawd that FF makes lots of varieties. Beef and this and that. He'll want one, and not the other... % minutes ago if was great, 5 minutes later it is poison....SHESSSHHHH! Mannie normally will eat anything anytime anywhere - he has never been a picky eater, but this round of appy issues sure has brought it to the forefront. Been that way since he had Giardia issues last summer. I read that the effects of that can last long after the parasite is eradicated. anyways.... we keep on truckin'! LOL on the vacuuming... Mannie doesn't mind it, unless I am right on top of him, then he'll leave.... unless there are nanners involved. :lol: :lol: LOVE the Molly Story! that is cool. You go girl!

Didn't want the beef, was into the salmon. :roll: I so hear on on the bum - that was Mannie yesterday - i was glad I caught it when it was still "fresh" :? I think so too on the cold - mine always bunker down when it is chilly outside. THX on my sons kitty - paws crossed.

I so agree on this BG's this morning - ugh. way up there today.... I sure hope he can find the escalator down. I hope so too on Bosco - DS will call them today see if he can get him in earlier. Oh gosh Michelle, I so understand all the open cans of fuds, trying to get Mr Fussycat to eat one.
At least Mannie has an excuse......for now. What are you going to do, when he's off the meds and feeling great again, but still expects to pick and choose from 9 varieties of fuds? Bahahahaha!

I'm sorry poor Bosco has to wait to see the specialist. Poor kitty.
Hope you get that breakfast in with your son. :smile:

Have fun wrapping gifts....not my favorite chore. Mine is sitting at the computer, ordering them. :lol:

Hi guys .. seems I may have missed what was going on with your son's cat and why mannie is on AB's .. I sure do hope the rest of the time on AB's goes quickly, and that his appy stays strong the rest of the time! I sure hope your son's cat's eye is ok?? And mannie, how about coming down some? Morning Devon ~O) ~O) ~O) My son's kitty was in a fight a few weeks ago: ended up with a facial abscess and an ulcerated cornea in one of his eyes. The abscess is healing well, the cornea not so much, so,.... his vet wants him to see an feline eye specialist, as this condition can turn serious quickly. We all hope all will eb well soon. THX too on Mannie - we are near the end on all of this - I can't wait for it to be done. :-D

sending healing vines for your sons cat since I am told by Do Lous vet a torn cornea is painful and was so happy Do Lou's healed as fast as it did....

Sorry Mannie's having appy issues. Going thru those with Kibby right now, too. I'm just glad I don't have to worry about insulin on top of it with him. Isn't it funny the reactions of the check out people when we buy cat food? They always say things like that to me as well, or.."Stocking up, huh?" I'm like - yeah that'll last about a week and a half...maybe. :lol:

Mannie - that berry spice tea was just the perfect pick me up for a gray afternoon! Just because the tea is red, you don't need to be. Neko was up there this morning too, not sure what they found fascinating on that floor. Good to see you are coming down a bit. At least the bean got a hiking pass.

Yuck on the abs and pickiness. I'll try to send some of Neko's appy down the I-5.

HI Michelle - Oh I know on those numbers... painful indeed! But he is on the way down, so far, so paws are crossed for a great PM cycle. I think the shot was good - I just think all of this has to do with the meds, etc. Plus a little bit of a bounce form the blues the other day. THX on my son's kitty - he was able to get him i today, instead of tomorrow. IT went well, ulcer is healing, on new meds.. He is looking much better today. THX on the day - got out for a short woods walk. YAY

Hi Lisa - thanks!! So we were told too - his is starting to heal now, so my son feels much better now. He was so worried. Mannie read that - and down he came..

Hi Ann - Drama says it well. last night's took the prize... 9 cans total, until he liked the last one offered. DRAMA-CITY in MannieLand.... He will have been on them for 14 days when we finish up in a few days. 14 days too many. :lol: :lol: :lol: THX on Bosco - my son was able to get him in today, they had a cancellation. It went well: eye is healing, only the surface of the cornea is damaged, no infection, eye is healthy, they expect it to completely heal. YAY! My son was so relieved... more eye drops for 14 more days, another recheck then. Yeah - I like the name too.

Hi Kathie - Thanks on Bosco - appt went well, he is on the mend. What a relief - especially for my son. And So I told Mannie - I guess he listened, or read his condo, we seem to be headed down,. HOORAY!

Hi Michelle, Only 4 more days now (we lost the half day, didn't we?). It will be a great weekend!! If Elsa has to eat all that food, she'll have a weight problem. She's doing her job to help Mannie get over the clavamox.

I'm sure that you're right about the giardia having a long-lasting effect. It took Edward more than a year to get completely better when he had it.

Have a good evening. I hope that the big bounce is over now and that Mannie will have better numbers tonight.

Sorry for the late visit today...I'm glad the fuds deal was much better this evening - good boy, Mannie - don't make your MamaBean and Aunties worry like that!! Great news that your son was able to get his kitty in today, too, and that he's on the mend. I tell ya....if it ain't one thing to worry about, it's another!!!

HI Ella - Oh yes on the yellow. The +2 is food, he alwatys does that, more often than not. So I hoe we wind up today at least on a yellow note. LOL on the ropes! yes on the clav - we lost the half day, so 4 more, or 8 doses. I will celebrate that this weekend - for sure! I know on Elsa... silly girl loves the fuds too. So far, no weight gain... :shock: -- THX for your opinion on the giardia - I remember you mentioning it before, and I have read that. It can be sometime before the effects are gone - nice to hear from you that that is true: i know now what to expect. Every now and then it rears it's ugly head, and we play the fuds game...

Hi Amy - missed your post.... no problem on the late visit - sometimes it is the only time I can visit - so understand. no problem.... :-D Fuds went much better tonight - YAY!!! only one can was a big plus.... :-D :-D :-D THX on Bosco - was so glad they had a cancellation - the appt was such a positive thing for my kid. he was so worried.... and I so hear you - it isn't one thing it i another: so true!
