I fattened Mannie's dose this morning... well I hope it was a fattened dose - I hate microdosing.... :lol: It's been 6 cycles since Mannie has seen any greens, so hopefully the fat on his dose will jump start things a little. The 462 yesterday was the clincher for me. He's worked too hard, as have all our kitties, to be posting numbers like that, so.... hopefully this will help. Mannie: more juice for you, you lucky kitty! He did come down from the red numbers during last nights cycle, seems to have surfed the blues for a while, posting a 169 this AM.

I had meter issues this morning - my old reliable maxima would not turn on, read, do anything :-x , so had to use my back up, different brand, etc - so I hope there isn't too much meter variance, and hope the 169 is in alignment with what I would have gotten with the maxima. so now to see what is up with my meter!?!! :shock:

Mannie sure did not care for the meter issue this morning. What a fussy irritated kitty - ohmygod_smile he had to wait - the horrors! :o Shesshhhh Mannie it was only a 5 minute delay... nobody should mess with the fuds and delays are just un acceptable. :lol: Boy did he tell me off. life is good now: fuds in the belly, face washing for 10 minutes (he LOVES merrick surf and turf), interior secured. Nanners have been artfully arranged, slobbered on, chewed, rubbed, rolled on, and now are being slept on. what did this boy do before he had nanners???

So are you making the peppermint white mocha or are you running to the local coffee shop for this? Either way, I'm impressed.

Paws crossed on the dose increase for Mannie Man. All the cooking and activity should bring him into some greens numbers today. :mrgreen:

113 @ +2. OK then: way to go new dose, or maybe just way to go Mannie. I fed this with 10% - it's good size drop in 2 hours, so... hoping to slow the drop some. Next test @ +3

Tena - well..... local coffee shop! Someday I hope to have on my counter one of those really cool espresso machines, but for now... off to the local shop. They know me too well, and it's already started when I walk in the door. omg! -- and thanks! I hope so - the +2 was encouraging.

I hope the extra drop helps, although he's looking good already today! Sorry about the meter issue! Have you checked the battery? I'm about to order one of their new Infinity (?) meters as they are phasing the Maxima out, but i have always love my Maxima too and you can't beat the price of the strips!

I've hinted (no outright told) DH that's what I want for Christmas. There is a shop in a nearby town that MAKES them and they are really nice!

102 @ +3. :lol: looks like the 10% really out on the brakes... I went with the 3% LC for the 3rd mini meal - will see what that does: I hope for a dip to the greens, but not a dramatic one. Ok Mannie? Just a dip for your +4. please.

aiyee on the meter! checked the battery, battery tester said it was OK. put in a new battery and still it wouldn't work. cat(2)_steam so - went with the backup meter - and got two errors with that: what?? cat(2)_steam cat(2)_steam . finally got a good test. so here I am fiddling with the old Maxima, and voila! they silly thing worked. :shock: :shock: i dunno what the issue was -- I put in a new battery anyways. I think I too will I will go with the new Infinity on the next order. as they say - the handwriting is on the wall with this maxima. bummer - always liked this meter, and yes the strip price was great!

Morning Ann - SWEET on the xmas order! I want one!!!! silly DH thinks it's a waste of money - he's one of the old school: hot, black, thick as pea soup, strong, cream/sugar are banned... he thinks these espresso drinks and all the variations are foo foo drinks... so - if I want one I will have to buy it myself. Hey - great idea!: buy my own present... :lol: :lol: :lol: and works for me. :-D

Hi Ella - no doubt on the something in the air... such an issue this morning! well, think it's time to get a new one... I got this one from a friend who got it from another friend and who knows how old it really is.... These party menus are fun - but sometimes they are a challenge. I sit there and think, ok - what goes with this state....

Congrats on the dosecrease Mannie cuz it looks like it's working. I know a little girl who's going to be right behind you if sumpin don't happen today!!! (THREAT). Isn't it amazing what a stinking drop can do? I also don't understand how they can do so well on a dose and then pffffftttttt. I hope you got some good rest the last two nights!!

Yummm....your peppermint mocha latte (did I get that right?) sounds scrumptious!!!! I say go for it and get your own espresso machine for Christmas or better yet, have one made at Ann's place and have it shipped!! Wow...I didn't know any place would custom make them...cool!!! I have an espresso machine but lately, it's just too much trouble when I'm needing caffeine fast!! I bought a Keurig and luv luv luv it esp since DH doesn't drink ~O) ~O) ~O) (WHAT is wrong with him?).

Hope you have a super day! I have to finish condos, find time to make a quick trip to Costco depending on Gracie, and get the house deco'd more.

I like your line of thinking - will buy my own! though I do hear you on the time that takes vs the now (!!) need... drip first off in the AM, so I can think and take are of Mannie... the "good Stuff" is the immediate move right after Mannie is taken care of... :lol: :lol: --- I hear you too on the dose. you get a good one, than for whatever reason it no longer works as well. aiyee!!!!

good luck with the new dose, I hate those in between doses, so hard to be consistant.

:cry: Just checked out that espresso maker on line, that one is NOT going to happen! :shock: They start at $1275! If I had that kind of money............ I told DH and he did remember! Said , darn now I need to find something else. I'm sure there are less expensive ones out there dear! :razz:

62 @ +6.5. hmmmmm - down a little. it is about +6 on weekend mornings that Mannie is fed some fresh cooked chicken. He knows it, and waits for it. So.... fed him some in between the +6, and the +6.5. Will test @ +7, and see if it was enough to hold him in the 60's.

59 @ +7. I fed a smidge of 3%, see if I can get him back into the 60's. This should be at nadir, so..... I hope that he has set up his surf, and that smidge didn't knock him off his board.

I am glad that I went to hike this AM, the rains have now started. This one should be fun - moving in off of the Pacific, all the way from Hawaii, really warm moisture filled air... love it when it hits us: we get a ton of hard heavy rain. oh goodie - I should check and see if my webbed feet have sprouted yet. :lol: :lol:

I have just received a text from Chef Mannie - he asked me to tell all beans that heir kitties are fine and enjoying the OTJ party for Skipper. They all took a short break to do their tests, and have sent numbers home to their beans. All is well in test land. Tess as usual tested herself, much to the amazement of all there. Cooking is going well - the gators proved to be a bit of a challenge, but apparently it worked out well enough that they were able to pull off the kabobs. Rusty was able to harvest a substantial amount of key limes, with the help of so many kitties. The grill is on full force, food is apparently flying out of the kitchen, with no leftovers. Seems they are on round four of all beverage production. :shock: that's all i got - he had to end the message - seems Moonie and Rusty were getting ready to sing a duet for Skipper, and he didn't want to miss it. seems too that none of us beans are to wait up. well, ok then.

Hi Ann! what a gal that Tess! Sacrificing her possible green run for the cause of otj cooking, Mannie is grateful. :lol:

Hey marjorie! I'm as rested as I can be - somehow it just never seems to be enough. :lol: :lol:

Mannie is really expending a lot of energy and his beautiful numbers show all his hard work as chef. Looks like you'll have a busy night. BTW Powder must be into all the drinks and desserts cause he's still pink :lol: Mannie has had a great day and looking so good :mrgreen:

Aren't your kids all going to be there for Christmas and still expect it to be all decorated like they remember? I know I did whenever Mike and I went see my
parents at Christmas :lol: :lol: :lol: As I was putting all of this out I got to thinking how crazy it is to do it! Normally we have dinner parties, etc. through the holidays but don't have any plans to do so this year because of Mike's work schedule. However, he'll be off for two weeks starting the 27th and so I told him today that I
want to have a small dinner party on NY Eve since I decorated the house!!

I hope he surf's soon - but dang his nadir when low is often @ +6, maybe even as lat as +7. need more ~O) ~O) --- we've had intermittent breaks from the rain, but have a huge system moving in tonight through Sunday that is supposed to really be a bad one - tons of rain, lots of flooding. oh great. brrrrrrr on the 20. dang that's cold!

Hi marjorie... :lol: they cut me some slack, as they boys got older they needed/wanted less, so I've gradually cut back. My daughter just wants the tree. I decor the living area, the dining one too - it's where we spend most of our time. when my youngest was very small he loved the lights. he'd put them everywhere - very bright, cheery. so though i've cut back the parts we hang in are just as bright as before. crazy maybe, yes, but it's kinda nice too.

Thanks Michelle for asking Mannie to keep an eye on Powder. He did a really good job making Powder choose better foods he had the gator kabobs. Then having him dance was excellent for his BG. Powder said they needed more wood for the bonfire and Mannie said If you want to have Key Lime Pie you need to find more wood for the bonfire. Well Mannie thanks you did it flip_cat 91 :o at 10.5 :mrgreen: Mannie I had so much fun and I feels great this morning. Yus da bests cook and coach. I had fun helpin too. Judging by those numbers Mannie burned a few calories too :lol: Well it sounds like another great OTJ party :-D Hope you got some sleep I-)
