Sorry, for not answering you earlier, I just now took them out for a walk. J.D.'s hind leg steps seems to be more even, and I do not see a noticable limp. So, his digits seem to be healing. Thanks for asking.
Maybe my thumb can heal now too, now that the pilling has stopped.
