Recap of yesterday's BG readings

AMPS - 258
.10 unit Lantus
Flovent inhaler
+2 - 292
+3 - 203
+5 - 254
+9 - 233
+11 - 314
PMPS - 303
.10 unit Lantus
Flovent inhaler
+11 - 189

I am going to remain optimistic today and take that blue +11 reading to be the theme of the day :-D

Julie,

In response to you post from yesterday's condo -

I can't take Cini with me on the plane. Flying with me in the cabin would be too expensive and there's no way in hell I'd let him ride in the cargo hold. Too many scary stories I've heard of animals escaping or getting lost in changing planes.

My friend is going to text me after each BG reading and then I'm going to text him back with what to do. Hopefully that routine will go ok.

Re: 12/11-Cini Mini- +11/189 - Nice way to start the day :)

I wonder if these numbers are in response to insulin or the Flovent or both! Regardless, it's a great way to start the day!!

I would talk to your petsitter and see if logging in here would be something he'd want to do. Obviously, people are around over the holiday -- it will be slower on the board but someone is always around. Remember that you can check in, as well (if you have a smart phone).

Re: 12/11-Cini Mini- AMPS 216

Hi Sienne.

Yep, was going to let the petsitter know our routine and tell him everything we do and see if he wants to try creating an account here and sharing the SS with him.

I don't have a smartphone (it's stupid phone  ) but, I will have my laptop with me and I'll log in on the board.

Thanks Celi.

Cini's been through a lot in his life.

I always say that I think he used all nine of his lives and, with this last visit to the emergency clinic, he borrowed one from someone else. party_cat bcatrun_gif grumpy_cat angry(2)_cat flip_cat dancing_cat :RAHCAT :dizcat confused_cat plus cat(2)_steam

If you ever watch World Series of Poker and you see these guys (and gals) in their last hand about to go out. They yell "One time!" before the last card is turned over in hopes that they get cut a break and get to stay in the game.

Yeah, that was me standing in front of Cini's oxygen cage when he was in the hospital.

Re: 12/11-Cini Mini- AMPS 216, +2/222,+4/189, +6/374,+8/425

+8 was 425

I don't know where Cini thinks he's going with these readings.

Re: 12/11-Cini Mini-PMPS 468 - Holey Gramoley

PMPS was 468, I don't believe I've seen a number that high since he came home from the emergency clinic :o

Is this a bounce from the 189 he had earlier today?

And as far as how Cini's acting - he seems to be fine. He did his usual routine of eating a little, standing still to get his injection, then running to the litter-box to pee. He seems to be bright and alert, walking on his toes and curious to figure out how Tabasco the civvie cat is able to get where he is to munch on crunchies. *

*Before I get the lecture about how Cini could possibly make his way to the crunchies .....Cini is a "climber", not a "jumper". Because he has no eyes he can't negotiate a straight, upward jump from a sitting position like cats with eyes can do. If he can't make small steps from one piece of furniture to another then Cini won't attempt it. The crunchies are on top of my dresser which is alone by itself on a wall with nothing else to climb on to get to it.
