All good here this morning. It feels like vacation because I don't have to prepare any lectures for next week! Zener is doing fine, very good appetite continues. He did have a little picnic outside this morning, more like a dessert as he finished up his first brefis. His enthusiasm to get outside in the mornings has definitely waned as the temperatures have dropped. He's btb with Anne now. He had a pretty good drop at +1 so I upped his carbs to 11% to see if we can get off the express and onto the local. Thinking of Garland, Tawny, Jill and DH, Charlie (hope Melissa can restrain him as he feels better and better :smile: ), and others who are ailing and recovering. Also waiting for Bink's condo. Whoa, big guy, that is quite the drop! We gave him some hc to slow things down. Sure like seeing the blue, even if it is just barely on the Alpha Trak. We gave him his first dose of the clindamycin and he choked on it. :sad: :roll: We think it got down and he didn't puke. We feel terrible. He seems ok. This is in preparation for his dental on Tuesday.

Linda: still have projects to grade, just to keep me out of trouble.

Rusty: Zener does get lots of practice with snowballs. He loves having all these parties!

Ann: He is still having picnics, they are just very quick. :lol: :lol:

Patsy: He does like his btb. Can't beat a warm cozy bed in the winter.

@Melissa & Bailey - it was a lovely AM cycle in mostly healing numbers. The first few full moons on LL, I was wondering what it was all about. Then, I realized it was a bit like a full moon in our local ER!

We'll be giving Zener his 2nd dose of pre-dental ABs shortly. Paws crossed I do a better job tonight and don't choke the poor guy.

It is good how you feed the front end of the cycle to slow Zener';s drops - it worked/works well for Mannie - took a little time, but it did help. Keep at it - eventually Zener will begin to even out even more. Well done!

We did much better with the ABs tonight, slowly squirted in the 1mL in 3 separate squeezes rather than one big one that choked the poor guy this morning. It went much smoother, he was less stressed, beans were waaay less stressed, and he immediately ate a little bit of his food (the good fuds, since he was dropping).

The temps were still above freezing as Zener did his evening rounds of the backyard and a short picnic was in order on the outdoor picnic table. It's been a good day today. Will get another check before bed, and see when it will be bedtime for the nightshift bean!

@Julie - where does Celi find these pictures? She always finds a way to make us laugh when we need it most! Thanks for the support on giving meds. We did a lot better tonight and are relieved that the ABs don't seem to be cramping his appetite. His appy has been so iffy, we were a little worried about that, but he is eating great the last few days.

Planning one more before bed check, just to be safe. ;-)
