GF was (mostly) home all day today and stayed cool and calm when Tig was 96 at +7 - something she was not expecting. She did not feed anything at this point, waited and retested (really about 45 min later, not exactly at +8) and saw the 114. It was a good SAFE experience for her as this is the first time its been entirely her responsibility. Of course, she WAS texting me at work the entire time, but I wasn't able to answer every time on time. I'm sure he'll bounce now but could I expect any less at this point.

On another note, he has been vomiting in the am again. About 3 times now, and its been all food, but before breakfast. He still wants to eat breakfast right on time and never vomits afterward. I don't know enough about the cerenia we have (says alot about the vet :/) - when would I give it for early morning queasiness? He is still getting 1/4 tsp miralax on dinner and USUALLY probiotic on breakfast - though admittedly we have both forgotten it a few time now - unsure if exact correlation with vomit days. No change in ketones, good water intake, stable weight. Seems a little lazy but we all are right now. Its winter and hes an old man. Any other thoughts? I can make a vet appt but they wont do anything anyway.

Can you describe the vomit? Food in it or liquid, foamy, colour? How late does he eat at night?

Next thing I would look at is the proteins he is getting. Any patterns in what type of meat? Does he get the same food before bed as at breakfast?

he eats the same 3-4 flavors from the same 2 brands every day and night, randomly. There was a month of no vomiting at all - not even a hairball, it was the longest stretch in 10 years. Then came a hairball. Then a week later some liquid, not real foamy but just clear. Now 3 mornings . . . I'd say every other am of a vomit probably around 5 am? anywhere from 430-6 am. I am thinking he may have acid tummy, goes to his feeder, eats up the last remaining morsels from his 1 am snack . . . but its not enough and he has little puke incident. He demands food sometimes only minutes later and does not vomit again all day. I think I forgot his miralax once or twice what with buying a car and christmas in general (don't worry we're fully back on track) but no specific thing that has happened each time.

Are you giving Tigger any Pepcid?
No, pepcid tried - I wasn't sure it was definitely warranted but I'm willing to
