Good Friday Morning, Everyone,

1 degree F. here this morning. Rusty is enjoying his perch next to the radiator, Edward is getting his no-knead bread ready for baking (he bakes most of our bread), and I am writing the WCR. We had a good night. Rusty slept in the middle, as is his pattern, and I heard him "singing" once. Woke up to a big fluffy ruff next to my face. He ate all of the food put out for him (may have eaten some of it within the 2-hour-before-AMPS zone). 4 Ps in place (the 5th P yesterday emerged in the early evening). We had a good game with "Big Bug" and another with "Maroon tail" (mouse). The cellar door is still a magnet (and I will have to go down to the cellar today to do some laundry).
Nothing special planned for today. We may go over to the X-country ski center in Lake Placid this afternoon to get our season passes (special rates for seniors). I don't think we'll ski today, however: 35-40 mph winds are expected. This evening I have to start on Xmas cookies (baking them, not eating them!)
Everyone have a good day and a good start to the weekend,

Ella & Rusty

Re: 12/10 Rusty AMPS 119

Yeah, well that 1degree F would make me want to rush right out and get season passes too....
I am so glad I am in my heavy robe Ella...your first post of the day gives me the chills....
But, it was a nice report for Rusty as always! Doesn't he know that eating within 2 hours of hie preshot will raise his numbers? Oh, he probably knows but just doesn't care.
Hope you guys have a great day....so nice that he sings in his sleep...how cute is that? :YMHUG:

Re: 12/10 Rusty AMPS 119

Yikes - 1 degree. I hope I don't have to make any east coast trips this Winter. I have relatives in Jamestown, NY. It's 48 degrees here in southern California, and I'm cold - have the heat on, too! They say blood thins out in warmer climates. So glad to hear how well Rusty boy is doing. I love the talking and singing cats. Keep warm today

I do love singing kitties. Great start for Rusty. I suspect he likes the cold weather.

Great idea, I'm going to try putting Sooty's bed in the fridge, next to the Levemir, see if that works for him too!     or is it  maybe... - LOL!!

Re: 12/10 Rusty AMPS 119, +3 70

Great numbers for a great kitty. :-D I am with Sienne - I love singing kitties! I am so happy for you guys - the addition of Rusty is a win-win situation.

Enjoy your day! 1 degree outside? sun too maybe? brrrrr, and yet perfection! You guys ski too? amazing!

Hey Rusty! what's up? anything you want to do? I am open for anything! I'd kinda like to try ice skating.... maybe.... See you soon! ~~ Mannie

Very nice numbers for Rusty and a great WCR. He is such a sweetie!
35-40 mph winds are expected.
You better put some rocks in your pocket so you don't blow away. Have a great Furday!

Re: 12/10 Rusty AMPS 119, +3 70

Loving Rusty's numbers.

The smell of bread baking is making my mouth water...Or is it the cookies you are going to bake. Yummmm.

Stay warm.

Have a great day.

Great WCR, I'm envious once again. Season Pass at Lake Placid. Sweet! Sounds like an ideal setup. I agree on the winds though, not fun to ski in that, but at least no klister. Rusty too, kitty perch w/ radiator! Heaven!

Re: 12/10 Rusty AMPS 119, +3 70, +6 72, PMPS 103

HI Everyone again,
Sorry I'm not getting back to the board until now. We were out getting the ski passes, and then I had to make dinner and start in on baking the Xmas cookies. And then my sister called to say she totaled her car yesterday in the blizzard near Syracuse (she's fine). And then Rusty and Edward decided to play with Big Bug right before dinner (our dinner, not Rusty's) was served, so everything got pushed back 15 minutes. And then all he wanted to do was play more with Big Bug. And then I went down into the cellar to get the laundry and he followed and it took forever to get him back upstairs (had to use Big Bug as a lure). And then, of course, we couldn't simply put Big Bug away, we had to have another play. So here we are! I can't believe this cat is as old as he apparently is (somewhere around 11 or 12). He plays like a kitten.
So I'm off now to visit condos. Thanks for visiting us today. Rusty continues to have really good numbers. This is the first +3 I've gotten. Interesting to see that it is virtually the same as +6. I'm gathering data slowly but surely. Everyone have a good evening.

Another great day and wcr for Rusty. Perhaps being a "rug rat" in bed he couldn't force himself up until he could not wait any longer for his snack. Enjoy your 1 degree weather. Better you then me. Happy Baking, maybe Rusty will supervise.

Ella...I missed out on condos today...something weird going on with the site and then since Gracie decided to bounce, I decided to get out and get with the Xmas thing!! Another great WCR and super day for Rusty. He sounds SOO happy with you and Edward and I can just picture you all on a cold absolutely frigid snowy day baking bread and cookies, fire in the fireplace, Xmas songs on the stereo...gosh..almost makes me wish I was there. No....I was doing shopping in capris and flip flops   Glad DS is ok...scary!!!

Have a great evening.

I love hearing how Rusty is becoming such a part of your lives. Perhaps he never had anyone to play with him. He's such a sweetie.

I'm so glad that you are all having a lovely time together. Rusty is definitely in the right home and loving his new life.

It is true that we didn't do a lot of play time here -- when Rusty was with the other cats, they were afraid of him and he was upset that they were afraid, and would pounce on them - sometimes with a bloody conclusion.

When he was segregated in the bedroom, he would play with catnip toys and run up the floor-to-ceiling cat tree, but I work full time and DH spends a lot of time on the computer (not in the bedroom). We did try to give him attention, but it was mainly in the form of brushing and combing his lovely coat and cuddling in bed.

My other cats are relieved to have the bedroom back (3 have lived with us for more than 12 years) and have the big scary guy gone (Rusty outweighed them by 4 to 7 lbs). Us humans miss him, but we're happy that he is in such a great loving home with Ella and Edward.

Hi Phoebe, Nice to see you. Rusty was playing up a storm today. Very active this evening (reflected in the 61; I fed his usual 4%, however, since we are close to mid cycle). Rusty is such a sweety; I guess he just wanted to play with your other cats all the while. Anyway, the BFG is just fine and we love having him here.

Hi to Charlie and thanks again to both of you for all your help. Much appreciated. Testing is getting easier. Yea!

Ella & Rusty
