yes that is high, dive as into diving into dangerous waters. At the rate he is going I am going to have to increase him back to .25 units. Is it normal for cats to go up and down like he does with insulin??

That high looks like a bounce to me but I’m not sure where the drop to cause the bounce is, as you did get a mid cycle test in during the last 4cycles.
Did you get a second test in to check the hi wasn’t an error?
I’m going to tag @Wendy&Neko to see what she thinks. I don’t want to suggest an increase in case I’m missing where a low number could have occurred.

I dont know what is going on... the only times I cannot get tests is when I am asleep... kinda obvious I often stay up past 3 am to get tests. As you see I am getting mid day tests so I do not know what the heck is going on..:arghh::arghh::arghh::banghead::banghead::banghead:

It seems odd to be mid cycle hi, but yellows at either end. I think I'd try the increase, but only if you can get night tests in too. He got down to 37 on 0.25 fairly recently and may not need much more than a nudge.

What carb are you feeding now? I was wondering if something a little higher LC might help you be able to get more insulin in safely. Maybe something in the 8-9% range.

Thanks for the input Wendy I am not totally sure what carb levels,. I feed fancy feast pate/classic salmon dinner, mariners catch, ocean whitefish& tuna chicken & tuna with north west naturals Duck recipe as a topper on all of them. The amount is 2 cans split between 3 cats and then placed around the apt so they feed as a group. I hope that this provides a bit more info

we don't recommend fish as a daily staple food. Dr Lisa Pierson said this in her food chart:

Fish: I do not favor feeding fish-based diets for several reasons: 1) allergy potential, 2) toxins/mercury levels, 3) PBDE levels (fire retardant chemicals with thyroid-disrupting properties), 4) often high in phosphorus and magnesium, 5) signifcant addiction issues - the cat will not eat anything else

Hi Julia I just googled some of the flavors you feed and they are under 3%
If you go on the Chewy site and put the flavors in they have questions that are answered , most of the time they will tell you carb content
