When I saw the 64 this morning, I felt like it was going to be one of those days. As it turns out, I was right. Jenks had another hard dive in the first quarter, needing another round of gravy, karo, and food. While this is sufficient to bring him up safely for the rest of the cycle, there doesn't appear to be a whole lot that we can do to avoid having to resort it in the first place.

If it's another active night, I guess the next step is to reduce again to 6.75U. We haven't seen the 6's in more than a year!

But this is only our fourth cycle at 7.0U, after a reduction three cycles into 7.25U. My concern is cutting too much too fast, only to find out that depot action is at play rather than too much insulin. I'm keeping an eye on a rising PMPS, which may be a sign that the numbers are becoming less stable.

The only other option I can think of is a BCS dose to interrupt the cycle's momentum. Then, he'd either get right back on track, or we'd learn that we're underdosed. I don't know how big of a depot he carries around, but surely after four cycles of a half-unit less per day, it would've showed itself, right?

Don't have answers to your questions, but if I had to guess, maybe it's something feeding the curve might help? A little bit of higher carb food at first sign of a dive. I'm still trying figure that all out myself, but the idea is to preemptively keep them from dropping too fast at the first sign of a dive and encourage surfing.

I'm so happy Jenks is continuing to do so well and I'm excited that you might soon be at your lowest dose in over a year! Stay away from the sharks, Jenks, it's unnecessary! ;)

The larger depots tend to hang around for six cycles. But I would take reductions after four if Neko went low. Jerks seems to be on a bit of a roll, so caution may be warranted. You are doing 0.25 unit decreases, instead of the 0.5 we'd normally do at that size of dose, so I wouldn't worry as much about the larger depot influence.
