Yesterday's condo
Hello LL and sorry for the late condo but it's been a busy day!
China surfed nicely for me for the rest of the night last night, so I got a few hours sleep before having to leave today. I was able to stay home long enough to get a +2 and then out the door I went to head over to the hospital.
Mom had called me first thing this morning saying they were releasing her and would I come get her (she knew I would so not sure why she asked...lol) but I had some things I had to do this morning before I could go over and get her. Was out running my errands and got another call asking me to come get her. I'd told her I had some errands the first time she called, but I guess she just really wanted out of that place! Got her to agree to hang on for a little while longer, ran home for a +4 and then headed her way. Once I got her out of the hospital and into the car, she wanted to stop on the way home to get her toenails trimmed (nobody would do it at the hospital and the nursing home doesn't like doing them either) so I took her to a place not far from my house, got her in and ran home for another test at +6 (China's been so close to 50 lately, I have been a little nervous so doing more tests)
When I went back to get her, her toenails had been painted red (with glitter), she'd had her hair done, and was in the middle of a manicure (more red polish with glitter)..My 84 yr old mother with glitter on her nails!! She was very pleased with it though and I have to admit, she looked very "Christmassy"
Time came to pay the bill and I was a little worried since I didn't have a lot of money on me, but the lady at the salon only charged her $40 for the whole thing...pedicure (with glitter), hair wash/style and manicure (with glitter)!! I sure couldn't complain about that!! I think the lady at the salon has found herself a new client when Mom feels like going out to get her hair done instead of having it done at the nursing home.
