I had known someone was peeing blood off and on for the last few days but yesterday finally caught the right cat in the litter box and as I suspected it was Casey. So off to the vet's we went. Not terribly happy with the choice of antibiotics-Amoxicillian liquid but so far he is impossible to pill and so picky about what he will eat we figured this is the best chance of getting the meds in him.

With the beautiful numbers he's been throwing even with a raging infection I can't wait to see what he does once we clear it. I really glad the vet that took him off canned and put him on dry is 200 miles away from me or I would be tempted to strangle them. This poor guy has been through so much needlessly all because of an inappropriate diet.

Hi Mel,
Healing vines going out to Casey this morning. I hope he clears that infection soon. Don't forget to give him a probiotic, maybe some plain yogurt with live cultures to counter the effect of the amoxicillin (I remember that you said he doesn't like FortiFlora; will he eat dairy?).

It's certainly a good thing that the other vet is 200 miles away!!

Hugs and scritches,

Yikes! Well, no one said it wouldn't be a bumpy road to good health. Hope he ditches it quickly and really starts to shine!
