12.10.22 Chispa 103 AMPS, 128 +3, 113 +5, 116 PMPS, 69 +3, 86 +5

It took a while, but we are back in the greens. :D

And now a question ... I'll be going away for 2 weeks starting on the 19th (a week from Monday already, yikes!). DBF will be in charge. He'll test before shots and can get a +3 at night, but on work days he will only get an AMPS. We've reduced by .25 every time I've gone away up to now, but I'm kind of feeling like she has been on this dose for quite a while now and only rarely does she dip into the 50s. Should I reduce anyway? I don't want to set back her progress, but keeping her safe is the most important thing. Maybe I just answered my own question.;) But I'd welcome any input.

I see she was at 57 recently. Did you feed at that point? You have time to decide so I would experiment and not feed if you see a lower number and see what happens. You would not start a vacation dose until a couple days before.

Elise, thanks for this. Yes, I fed after the 57, and an hour before it too. I've somehow gotten onto a schedule of feeding her ten mini-meals a day in an effort to (a) keep her numbers somewhat steady, and (b) keep her from having an empty stomach, which leads to vomiting. So complicated! I'll see how much experimenting I can do with feeding less often over the next few days. (She has an automatic feeder with two compartments, so DBF will be able to keep her fed, at least, throughout the day).
