Hi everyone. Well as expected Tori went quite high last night after the taco caper. She was 284 at +6 during the night. This morning her AMPS was 243 which I was quite pleased with. I expected it to be higher. I woke up a while ago to Tori perched on my chest meowing. I'd slept through my alarm. Obviously it was lunch time. I was really shocked though when I tested her and got a 38. Will test again in 15 minutes.

Well she's all booked for her sleep over at Dr Doug's tomorrow till possibly Saturday morning. I just don't feel comfortable leaving her in my daughter's hands while Daniel and I go to Calgary for his Marfan's Clinic appointment. I'll drop her off tomorrow afternoon. Question is with her earning a reduction today what should I tell them to give her. I've been giving her 1.75 the last couple of days and was going to tell them to give 1.5. Seeing I'm going down should I tell them or 1unit? I think trying to explain the skinny doses we give would be a little complicated. I'd rather she be a bit high than go low. Hopefully we'll be back before closing time Friday but I doubt it. Will probably have to pick her up Saturday morning.

Well I better go and check if she's come up a bit. See ya all in a bit.

Well, at least the taco cleared :lol:

I tend to be overly cautious with dose. The 1.5 might be enough, but if you feel better go with the 1 :smile:

Now get out of the basement Miss Tori!!

Well after refeeding twice she's come up to a respectable 79. That's the great thing about having a carb sensitive kitty she usually has no problem getting out of the basement fairly quickly. Usually being the operative word of course. Tori does like to surprise me every chance she gets.

I'm off to get Ayanna from day care now. Food has been left out in case she needs it. See you all later.

WOw -will you look at that - A 38??? Tori - maybe your bean should let you have tacos more often... :lol: :lol: Quite the day for Tori.

Busy times for you too - I hope Tori does well with her appt - I will be thinking of her. And for you son too. Good luck with it all. Good thoughts headed your way.

Ok Tori - now be a good girl, and no diving...

Hi Barb, Sending you and your son positive vibes for his appointment. That Tori is really something, isn't she? I think that to be on the safe side you should tell Dr. Doug to give the lower amount. It's only for a few days.

I agree with Ella...best to be high as you said than to go to where she was today.... :lol: She and Shadow were scuba diving with the mer folk.... Hope your trip works out well...be safe Barb! :YMHUG:
 
Some how I expected her to bounce out of the ball park after the 38 this afternoon so I was surprised she wasn't higher than the 247. You just never know with this girl. I went with the 1.75 again tonight because of the fact that she gets her Prednisolone at night and that will keep her up there. Tomorrow I'll take her down to 1.5. I'll talk it over with Doug tomorrow when I drop her off for her sleep over but I think I'll have them go with 1 unit. That way she should stay safe. I'd rather her a little bit high than too low.

Well I better start getting ready for work here. It seems I'm always rushing and never get to spend the time I would like catching up with people. Have a good night every one. Kiss your babies for me.
