Hi LL,

Yesterday: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=129256

I suspect Mikey didn't get an insulin this morning. I could have been a fur shot, but I actually suspect a defective syringe. When I pushed the plunger in, it didn't feel right. Frustrating.

I did sequester Mikey in the spare bedroom today with the automatic feeder. He ate both meals, but he was upset that I confined him. I don't really know what else to do until he proves to me that he'll come back to the feeder from other parts of the house. Mikey, Mikey, Mkey!!!

I hope everyone is doing well today. My head is spinning right now, so I'm probably not making much sense! Argh!! : :?

I'm interested to hear how the automatic feeder works out for you. I actually just ordered the Petsafe 5 with high hopes that Webster will not figure out how to manually advance the feeding tray as some reviewers have commented on.

Mikey will recover from the furshot this morning. In the meantime, looking at tonight's BG tests that you've got done . . . i'd take a break and get a good night's sleep. :-D

What! Some cats advance the feeder themselves??? Talk about stinkers! The Petsafe 5 is probably a better feeder than the one I got. Mikey's has only two compartments. I chose it because it was small and fits in our tiny kitchen and spare bedroom just fine. Also, it runs on AA batteries, which we always have around. It doesn't make any noise when it opens, which as proven to be a downside. Not that the noise the Petsafe 5 makes when it turn would wake up my little narcoleptic sleepoholic!

welllllll that PetSafe 5 Compartment feeder is incredibly loud when it turns. That's not going to be an asset when you're trying to sleep through it, though! Punkin knew when it was going to open and he would wait for it, but he waited about 10' away. As soon as it rotated, he'd leap from the chair and make it in about a half of a second.

It is also fairly big - maybe 12" by 10" or so.
