Morning ~O) ~O) Maggie is really vocal and playful this morning. I'm afraid her Bean may have done another furry shot last night, judging by her +3 last night and then her AMPS this am. I think some days my left hand is weaker with the ra. I need to not be so focused on the time as a few minutes later won't hurt for the shot! I am right handed, so I grasp the scruff with the left and shoot with my right, all the while Maggie is sitting so patiently on my lap. She is just the sweetest, most patient kitty for me with the pokes and shots! All P's in place and lots of covering up and digging going on right now in her biffy box, so I'm waiting for my zoom zoom entertainment. Maggie is on her second breffifs and we had play time with her mouse toy and next comes brushing. Have a great Thursday,

If it was a fur shot, it looks like Maggie forgives you. Sometimes I think I get a little too focused on the "to the minute" timing. IMHO it is better to take a few minutes longer to get focused, relaxed, or whatever is required at the moment to make the whole test, feed, shot experience the best possible.

Not a bad AMPS for a fur shot! I know what you mean about the hand thing. Mornings are the hardest for me. Hope she comes down for you. What a sweet girl to sit so nice for you. Have a wonderful day Ann!

Thanks Devon for visiting us today, and you were right, as she is coming down nicely today.

You're so right, Linda & Weezer; it's best to not focus on "to the minute" timing and be more relaxed and make it a nice experience for both, especially Mags.

Hi Melissa, Yes I know you have the same problem with the mornings. Maggie is so sweet and and patient and always wanting to please.

Morning!! Fur shot or not she is doing beautifully! Probably some of the insulin got in...

What was it someone on LL wrote to us? "It's one number among thousands" and "fur shots happen"! :-D
I did a fur shot a few weeks ago, Zener rolled over just as I was shooting and insulin went everywhere, except into him. :oops: Then, he had a great cycle anyway. :lol:

Very nice recovery from this morning. Even if it was a fur shot, it doesn't look like it made too much of a difference.

I would love to see Maggie doing her zoom zoom thing!

Nice recovery, Miss Mags! :mrgreen: She'll be back to green in no time! I too know about obsessing w/ the time. Quite frankly, I'm in such a fog in the mornings Tess's shot can be a few minutes late and it doesn't seem to make a difference.

I'm not sure what happened here with the yellows. I was gone for a few hours and left food, so I tested at the +9 when I arrived home; I'm not sure what time she ate, so it could be a food spike. I tested against my back-up Relion Micro and got a 226 for the +9, one point higher! She was begging and begging for food, so I gave her a teeny amount of food two hours before her last poke. I'm not surprised with the 243 for the PMPS. My back-up had a 20 point difference, so the AT is correct. So hopefully Mags will come on down to blue tonight.
