12/1 Dickens has passed

Dickens has passed. He was with the entire family today as the snow fell gently and quietly outside. He died just after the kids had fallen asleep, and I dozed on the sofa beside him. When I woke, looking immediately for the subtle rise and fall of the fur on his flank, I saw that he was still.

Dickens passing seems to have been very peaceful and he was at home with the ones he loved and he knew loved him.
Hold onto that at the very least.
