Freckles is hanging onto those darn yellow numbers and still no nadir in sight. Looking at increasing tomorrow to 3.75 u as her numbers are pretty much flat throughout the cycle
. Is that the general consensus?
I don't think I like the vet's suggestion of reducing the number of smaller meals though out the day. I'm finding that she is very wide after eating and just wants to sleep - likely because she is too full. We tried reducing the number of meals to see if her numbers are food influenced, but doesn't look like it, so I think we'll go back to the meal schedule we had before (1 can ff at shot time, 1/2 can @+2, 1/2 can @+4 and then a 2-3 morsels of freeze dried chicken @+6, @+8).
Even though the yellow numbers and no apparent nadir are discouraging, I have to keep reminding myself that since starting the insulin, she has managed to put the weight back on, her dandruff has cleared up, and we don't have to be so militant in guarding the supper table anymore. Lots of positives have come about, now if we could just figure out the right dose for her, that would be great!
