Hello!
Haven't updated Harry's notes in a little while, so I thought I'd get back on track!!

Harry has been more energetic over this past week than he has for a while now - so things are getting better. And just when i thought that it was easy with the single poke to the ear for his BG, I poked him 7 times in one session with minimal success, only to pass it off to my hubby after a 1/2 hour and try again and it worked. Sheesh!! Harry sure didn't like me then. I don't know what the problem was, I did the warm sock, the pinch at the bottom of the ear.....but oh well today's a new day. And a single poke did it this afternoon for the +7 BG.

His numbers have been lowering, kind of.. . . . he's higher (in the 300's) during the day, and it will be in the 200's sometimes as well. Although weekends are usually hard(work schedule) for the mid-day check, but we get to Harry when we can(6/7 days, usually) So his numbers are better than before!
If I have noticed his levels in the AMPS being in the lower 200's, I'll only give 1.5 units instead of the standard 2 we've been doing. Is this correct? If we are not around to get Harry's mid-day BG, do we still go by the PMPS for that dosage in the evening? (I guess so, considering that would be all we have to go by for that time)?

He sure beats up on the neighbor cat, when he comes in to visit us and Harry. . and then goes straight for Harrys' food! (and Harry will answer with a big hiss and a bat to the cats' butt, haha). So, he sure likes to keep his food protected at all times!

The vet has been good, he emailed asking about Harry and has called us every other week since the start (to advise us on dosage). But I think the 2 units are ok for now, considering we still need to do another blood curve (right?) real soon to find out more mid-day points of his BG.
Any tips on this? Should I stick with the 2 units, knowing Harry's chart numbers?

Thanks everyone!
Helena & Harry

sorry helena..i'm no good with advice.

it will catch folks eyes if you type the word "Question" in your subject line tho.

there's so much traffic on the forum that it's easy for a post to get lost...
this will bump you up to the top of the list tho.
