Hello Guys,

Its been a while that I couldn't be here, ive missed being here...
Shanga's mouths is same... You know I used zithromax and famvir , but it seems he felt ok just for a while.
I went to another vet who wants to be dental specialist. He is young but He knows the procedure.
He said Shanga needs full mouth extraction. I already knew that but i think I wanted to try....
I feel so down, sad and desperate for days. I dont know what to do... He says he will pull all of the teeth at the surgery but it sounds so harsh to me...
I just need your advices...

Merhaba Hande!

I've missed you and Shanga! I'm sorry Shanga's still having problems with his teeth. If he needs them removed then I know you will take as good care of him as you do now. I know there are cats here without any teeth doing just fine. You have done everything possible to heal him. You are a wonderful Mama.

BIG BIG hug, I'm so glad you posted today!

Hello, Hande :-D

many of the kitties here have had some or all of their teeth extracted...
since the infection makes the BG numbers rise.

Hoping that Shanga will only have to have a few removed.

If you do take Shanga in for a dental...PLEASE post here before the appointment as there are some extremely good
instructions for how to prepare...
before, during, and after their dental.
Many cats' bg's will drop significantly with anesthesia, and some may need a little help eating immediately after.

hugs to you, and scritches to Shanga...

:YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG: I know it seems hard, but several cats here do well w/ no teeth. Tess still has some but quite a few are gone, have been since she was 4 years old and now she is 14. With the wet food I often turn her food into soup anyway and she just laps it up.
