12/04, Sam, AMPS: 338, +4 371, PMPS 284

You can take it easy on the testing until PMPS. A typical Lantus curve is a gentle curve down. If a test after onset, which is when the insulin starts to take effect and is around +2-3 is up, it'll be a quiet cycle. It could be that the dry food he got recently is also keeping his numbers up. It takes a while for dry carbs to work their way out of their system.

Have you ever tried any of the Dr. Elsey's dry from Petsmart? They are as low carb as we can easily get. The other option, which is more expensive, is freeze dried raw. If you haven't seen it already, this document has some tips on transitioning from dry to wet. Might be something in there that works.

I'll take a look at the Dr. Elsey's. He has barely eaten at all today; he won't touch wet food right now, only wants dry food. Is this normal after a big bounce like what happened last night? Because last night he was at a 50, likely went lower in between tests. I tested him again, he was down to a 306.

Did he get a lot of food last night when you were trying to get his numbers up? Maybe that's why he's not so hungry now.

He got some, I gave him some wet food with some corn syrup, might've added too much? Then I gave him a bit of dry food as well, but apart from that no. He'll eat the dry food right now; but he won't touch the wet. Do you think this was a rebound?
