Yesterday, I guess I over reacted from seeing all the pinks and reds lately, and having a possible infection? (for whatever reason he's on these antibiotics), and him having DKA once in December 5 years ago.
I had started a new cartridge yesterday morning, and gave him a TOR at +11, and added a small drop to his dose at PMPS. I felt bad when I saw the 254 point drop at +2. That's why I added some HC at +3 to stop the dive. I guess I shouldn't have continued giving HC at +4, but I did :roll:

So, now, I've set up a bounce. I feel like it's all my fault.

I gave J.D. his AMPS at +11.5 because he was so high, and because it's the weekend coming up, and I should be able to adjust his schedule back over the next day or so.

He happily ate his pill in his pill pocket, and ate most of his breffis (Ginger forced her way into some of it, so he shared with her, because he's such a gentleman). He is now laying in his favorite bed by the window.

Good morning guys! I know this red isn't what you wanted to see, but don't beat yourself up over it .. sometimes we do everything right and the kitties still bounce ... sounds like J.D. is still in a good mood and still being sweet, sharing his breffis with his sister and that's what counts right? J.D. will come down ... Have a great weekend guys!

Feeding the HC has little to do with the bounce. The fast drop is the culprit. You know J.D. will clear this quickly.

Dyana Libby and Sienne have told me and then reminded me many times :lol: "food does not make them bounce". You can do everything right and they bounce. Powder bounces through most of the colors every day whether I feed, don't feed or am not even here. :roll: You are doing great unfortunately, as annoying as it is, this is not an exact science and sounds easier then it is. Keep your chin up JD is lucky he has you. :smile:

Those drops will bring on the bounce for sure....JD~come down from the reds boy and have a Happy Friday....
it's great that he is taking is meds so nicely...good report on your little gentleman Dyana! :mrgreen:
