12/02 Gus, AMPS 259, +4 257 PMPS 277, +4 232

Thanks all for rooting for him! Didn’t expect to see much change as of +4. He went down 2, lol time will tell.

I’m getting a bit worried though, I had to fight him this morning to give his insulin. The first few months were easy peasy, no issues, not even phased by it. The last few week he’s been backing away from his food dish (his distraction) randomly but we usually get it as he can’t resist his food… but this morning I had to corner him… was not fun at all :( the last 3 times were a bit more of a struggle too but as I said, he eventually gave in to his food.

I really hope this doesn’t become a new thing.

He has a tougher skin now (despite rotating sites) I try to avoid those areas but i seem to be getting less options. And he (only lately) has been flinching with the actual injection.

He had not had any issues before with any of this only on the last 3 week maybe..

I’m getting new pens on Friday … my 10ml vial isn’t quite done (been opened for like 4 months now) but I need to see if that’s the issues

Lantus can sting at higher doses but he is not at a high enough dose. Maybe some cats feel the sting sooner? @tiffmaxee

Could also be developing scar tissue from poking in the same place like you mentioned.

Someone tell this cat he’s going the wrong way! Haha.

Will be checking him around +3 .. but guessing I won’t see much action until tomorrow sometime.. hopefully

NDW is seen in cycles 2 and 3 of the increase. He just needs more insulin to break through the glucose toxicity. I would increase every 3 days till you see low blues or green.
