I'm a bad Momma Bean. After weighing her (she's now 10.5 lbs.), and deciding to recalculate the food amount, I found out that I was underfeeding her. She should be getting 0.90 oz. of food (according to the formula: 13.6x10 lbs.+70=206, 206 divided by 38.2 (calories per ounce in a 13.2 ounce can of Evo 95% C&T) = 5.3926 (or 5.4 ounces/day) divided by 6 mini meals = 0.90 oz. per mini meal.
10 lbs. would be great for her, but she needs the calories. So, her calorie intake goes up along with the amount over time. Her pancreas will love me, as well as her. She's already loving the extra 0.10 oz. that I gave her last night.
I'll do weight checks periodically to make sure that we're on the right track.
I got the amount of calories off the can of Evo 95% Chicken & Turkey that's getting. It reads 504.8 kcal/can. I'm not sure what the "k" means before "cal", but I'm guessing that each full 13.2 oz. can of Evo 95% C&T has 504.8 cals in it. I'm only going by what it reads on the label.
MY WISH: For God to help heal those ailing (Linda's Weezer, and anyone else on here who is currently ailing... Both feline and human) make a full and speedy recovery... For God to help heal the broken hearts (MJ, and anyone else on here) who lost a beloved pet and/or human... For everyone to have great #s... For everyone to be OTJ.
