Good Morning, Everyone,

Lots of healing vines going out this morning to Tawny, Ozzie, Tarragon, Rocket, and all kitties in need of them.

Rusty woke me this morning one second before the alarm. His internal clock is now set to Standard Time! He has cleared his bounce and had a good test, breakfast (Wellness Turkey, 1 main sitting and 2 smaller sittings), shot, and is now reclining on his pillow. We are supposed to have unseasonably warm weather today. A paddle is scheduled for this afternoon and it would be wonderful to go on it, but I don't think we will (haven't yet quite decided). Edward still has a bad cough (mine is much better) and we don't want to set back his recovery. The paddle is scheduled so that we can watch the sun set and the almost-full moon rise and will require headlamps to get back. A potluck will follow. But because of Rusty's schedule we cannot attend the potluck (it's too far from here to go for a while, come home, go back). Anyway, we are still thinking about it!

Rusty looks great this morning. I'm glad you are feeling better and hope Edward joins you in the land of recovery soon. Don't overdo, but have a great day!

Good morning! Nice AMPS for Rusty. Yay!!

I hope you are able to enjoy the beautiful day and go on your paddle. There aren't many nice days left in the season. Sorry Edward still has his cough. Blah. Colds are the worst. Tarragon said the soup Rusty brough last night was awesome and helped his cough so hopefully you and Edward got a big bowl of it. :lol:

Hey Rusty! Thank you for the KTSS and soup last night. I really needed it. Now I am breathing better and my mom says it is all because of my friends. Hope to see you today. - Tarragon

I've had a lingering cough for 3 weeks now, this is one tough virus going around! I hope you and Edward get back to your active routines soon.
Looks like Rusty is off to a good start, hope all of you enjoy the nice weather and have a lovely day

Nice Rusty AMPS! Take care, it is a good idea to take it easy and finish the recuperation. It may be warm in the day, but I'm sure the moonlit paddle won't be. boy, that does sound like fun. We used to do a midnight paddle down the Mississippi and end up w/ a sunrise picnic!

Nice start for Rusty. Paddle sounds great but it will probably get cold before you are finished. Hope you and Edward continue to improve. That cough, I have been told, lingers for quite a while. Good luck with your decision on the paddle. Sorry you have to miss the potluck, what these sugar kitties put us through.

Hi guys ... sounds like a nice morning for rusty and a nice number as well! Glad to hear your colds are getting better, this seems to be one tough one to shake! Enjoy the paddle if you do go!

Boy I'm jealous Rusty has transitioned to the new time. I wonder if he wouldn't mind training Maggie. The Paddle sure sounds nice, but trust your instincts with how you both feel. Wow on that 46! Hope you both feel better.

Hi again,
Rusty has decided to go green in a big way this morning. I should have checked him sooner than his +5! So I gave him a little of his lunch 1/2 hour early and spiked it with a teaspoon of FF T&G, because onset should have just started and we don't want him to dive. We decided not to paddle (reason won out!), so we'll be around to monitor Rusty. Before I checked and got the 46 we were outdoors in the beautiful, warm day (not a squirrel to be seen). We wandered around a bit and then Rusty wanted to go in. I could tell that he was hungry and now I know why. Be back later,

I think Rusty is changing the rules of the game on you. And hes making sure you stay home to recuperate. :lol: :cool:

11/9 Rusty PMPS 119

Hi again,
We had an interesting day of numbers. At +5 I fed a tsp. of FF T&G and about a tbsp. of the usual lunch (Wellness Turkey); then another tbsp. of Wellness Turkey at +6 (Rusty usually gets his Wellness Turkey (4%) lunch at +5.5 so today he got it in 2 installments. At +7.5 I fed a scant tsp. of FF T&G to keep him from bobbling; at +9 a tsp. of BG Turkey (1%) (Rusty's usual snack time is +9) and by +9 he was already on the way back up. I expect he'll be pretty high by bedtime (+4.5, when onset from the PM shot will begin to kick in). Sorry for all the detail; I'm basically writing it down for myself as reference for the future.

I took Rusty outside after his +9 and the squirrels were out, so he was on the steps up to the yard, watching and waiting when Shadow appeared. They touched noses. Then Shadow took up his position on top of a rock next to the step Rusty was on and the two of them watched-- totally still and silent-- until one of the squirrels saw them and made such a racket that Shadow up and left. Rusty, however, eternally hopeful, remained in his spot! It wasn't easy to get him to come back inside (Edward had to come out to help me).

Tell Ed I still have the cough too...Hope we are all better real real soon!
What a good boy to just sit there & not chase after the squirrels!--Rusty is a really wonderful boy!

Hey Roni, He sure does chase the squirrels. He just sits and waits for them not to notice him so he can make his move! He is a true hunter. (In contrast, Stu was a chaser; he couldn't control his excitement and went running after the chipmunks meowing the whole time!! But he was smart to stay clear of the squirrels!!)

WOW on this mornings cycle! all that green - gorgeous.

sorry to be so late in visiting... the day and night got away from always does when I have dgs.

sounds like a great day there - i love the rusty and shadow story, I cans see then sitting there... waiting....
