Good morning.
Owen is back in the bouncy house this am.

What is a normal feeding schedule for a cat on insulin besides eating at shot time and 2 hour fasting before hand? Kris has been feeding Owen hourly at the start of the cycle to prevent big drops and bouncing, but I’m not exactly sure how often she should feed after that or what we would be doing if he was out of this bouncing phase and not needing food support? Or is it just ECID you figure it out?

Have a great day :):)

For longer duration you want to feed most of the food in the first half of the cycle unless low and needing to feed the curve. It is an ECID thing though. It’s likely he saw more blue last night causing the bounce.

Thanks @tiffmaxee. :bighug: That is helpful.

For the last several years I made sure Simon had access to food at all times of the day and night and I would offer him fresh wet food every 2-3 hours. Getting him to eat was a full time job! I can’t even remember how “normal” cats eat :)

How’s he acting? I’m not sure the bounces bother them as much as they do us. He likely did hit green.
Kris says that he is really hungry! I know he spent some time in good numbers today but these bounces are awful. I think this is almost the highest bg we have ever seen :blackeye:
