Hello everyone!!! :bighug: I hope you and your kitties are fine!

I want to share some good news for Chnoudi, as I got the blood results! :)

Her kidneys and pancreas are ok, there are some high numbers, such as SGPT, and some others that are high according to my doctor's number range, but seem to be normal in the range of the LABS section in the SS. I have entered all the results there, for those who would like to see them.
So, the vet told me that Chnoudi had probably an inflammation or infection in the gastrointestinal tract, and she's recovering from it.
I hope he is right and there isn't an underlying disease. I'm completely disappointed from vets, that's why I become suspicious :oops:

Anyway, one thing is for sure, I have to start insulin again, cause this inflammation affected her remission. I'm thinking about starting from tonight.
How many units should I start with? She's yellow since yesterday.

If she was recovering from pancreatitis the blood test would have been negative. You use the ranges for the labs used. If abnormal at the vet it’s abnormal. Every lab uses parameters that apply just to that lab. That being said even if some numbers are off she wasn’t feeling well and to be expected. I wouldn’t give it a second thought unless she isn’t feeling well again. It’s the same as one bg test.

I would start with a low dose. See what @Gill & George thinks. Maybe just .25 or .50?

Ok I see. Thank you very much Elise! Yes, on Saturday that they got her blood, Chnoudi had only some early symptoms.
 
I started with .25 because she was starving and was about to eat me. And if Gill has a different opinion, I'll increase tomorrow :cat:
