Not quite sure what's happening with this direction, other than the red bounce day isn't over yet. We got some good action at this dose for a couple of cycles and it's been bounce behavior since. Yesterday was a better cycle, flat with yellows and a blue. Is it possible he is bouncing off that blue or is the bounce still continuing from the cycle when he was almost all red?

Last night Zener's appetite was poor and he was acting a little punk so we gave him a bit more pepcid. Today he is eating a bit better so far, but his numbers are higher. He seems to be doing a little better this morning. After depositing a gift in the LB, he dashed down the hallway to a favorite sleeping spot. ;-)

Re: 11/8 Zener AMPS 300;+2 347 bounce? A Trak

Hi guys .. I'm not sure what's up with zeners numbers .. I hope they come down for you and I hope the pepcid settles his belly, if he was not feeling good .. maybe a nap will turn things around .. have a great day!

Re: 11/8 Zener AMPS 300;+2 347 bounce? A Trak

Wrong way Zener! What are you trying to do to your poor beans? No idea on the bouncing but I feel for you!

Sorry on the yucky appy last night. Sounds like the pepcid helped. Hope you have a wonderful day!!

Re: 11/8 Zener AMPS 300;+2 347 bounce? A Trak

Thanks Melissa and Linda, we are starting to consider another dosecrease in the near future after the bounce time passes. We have a vetty appointment on Friday for routine injections and discussing with our vet about a possible dental. That was something she mentioned to us a few months ago as not necessary immediately but in the future and we are wondering if this could be affecting his appetite and/or numbers. We're not very familiar with the risks of doing a dental on a FD kitty and read about it here often, so research is in order! Any advice or insight on dentals for kitties with FD is welcome!

It's a stinkus pinkus cycle. :YMSIGH:

Not the colors we would like to see, but we've seen worse. Still poor appy. Between the poor numbers and poor appetite, we are getting pretty discouraged.

Re: 11/8 Zener AMPS 300;+2 347;+6 319; +10 318 A Trak

Hang in there Anne and Liz! It's just one day-one cycle among many! Hopefully Zener comes down for you-paws crossed here for that. Good luck researching the dental. Dentals are nervewracking on healthy kitties, so I wish you the best in your FD Dental research!

Re: 11/8 Zener AMPS 300;+2 347;+6 319; +10 318 A Trak

Thanks Jaq - we must repeat our mantra "one cycle among many" or better yet, write it on the blackboard 100 times!
I posted a question on the list about dentals and am getting some great responses to help with our research.

Re: 11/8 Zener PMPS 365 A Trak

Zener's appy has picked up this evening, thank the feline goddess! Maybe he read his condo and saw our question about a dental.

Liz and I did a "quality check" tonight at shot time. She does the early morning testing and shooting and I do the evening shooting and late night testing. Liz is a morning person and I am the night person, so it really helps with our sanity to split up testing and shooting. We often check each other's drawn up doses to make sure we are being consistent. Tonight, we realized I've been shooting about a drop less, so that lack of consistency may be messing with Zener's numbers a little too. We are back on the consistency track with tonight's dose. :-D

We have paws crossed to see something other than "stinkus pinkus" tonight, and we better be careful what we wish for!

It seems there has been a lot of sadness in LL lately. We are sending lots of our white snowflakes to those kittie and their beans in need tonight.

Holy frickin' moly - the express train is roaring outta this station! ohmygod_smile

PMPS 365, 12th cycle @f0.75, 1.6oz 9%
+2 187, 0.6oz 11% :o

Zener is following in the paddy paw prints of his diving idols Gabby, Mannie and Jetta. He is getting serious about his training since there is less than a year to the Olympics.

We've switched to a bit of 11% MC food after seeing these numbers to see if we might be able to slow the drop and prevent another big bounce. It's a good thing I got 9 hours of sleep last night!

This is a HUGE drop in 3 hours, should we be concerned?

We've cracked open the 17% carbs, will check in 30 minutes and start with treats if the express train keeps on keepin' on. nailbite_smile

+3.5 90, 0.3oz (1t.) 17%

Thankfully, Zener's appy is darn good this evening. He also is feeling frisky with his numbers down and was chasing Tillie. Liz was telling him - "Zener, Jill told you no vigorous exercise with low numbers!" Ah, once again, WWJD? ;-)
Will check again in 30 minutes.

Wow Anne, reading your post for today and learning a lot with how to deal with a big +2 drop. Hope things are going better for you and Zener today.
