AMPS 170 - gave .5u and hubby will test at +6
Last night his +6 was higher than his pmps test (133 at pre shot vs 134 at nadir) so we are baffled. We gave him .25u on the 133 which would usually bring him down under 100 lately but it did not happen. He did steal a piece of popcorn that fell on the floor before I could catch him (he ran away like a cheetah...lol - he really LOVES popcorn for some reason) so maybe this kept him higher?
Not sure what happened but he was higher this morning so we gave him double at .5 units. Tomorrow if he is higher will give him a little more insulin to see if we can bring his number down. I will be home all day tomorrow so I can monitor him. This is a very strange time in terms of his numbers but I can't complain as they are generally under 200 at all test times which is much better than the high twos and low threes he was averaging before!
