Good evening and hope you all had a happy Fursday. Sending out extra special healing vines to Noni and Reuben!
Harumph on the nose dive yesterday but it was Gracie's third time between 40-50 and so I shot through the bounce twice and gave her a reduction tonight. I don't know if she will clear the bounce completely (and it was an ugly one due to that fast drop) but we're happy she's seeing some blue. We got the blood test results back today and her ALT went from 266 to 103 (high end of normal is 100)!! All her other liver values are in the low to middle range and look perfect. Happy Face------>
Dr. B wants us to continue the denamarin and ursodiol for another 6 weeks and then we'll test again and see if she's all the way back down. We are ecstatic.
We had to take Gus to the vet today. Yesterday morning, he wouldn't eat and I wondered if he was a little nauseous so I gave him 1mg ondansetron and waited a bit. He ate the rest of the day pretty well. Dr. B thought he looked pretty good and his weight is fairly stable...he was 9.3 lbs two weeks ago and 9.1 today so that could be the difference of a trip to the LB. She cold lasered all his acupuncture points to see if that would help with the appy. She said all his organs are testing 10 out of 10... so strong ....or really what it means is he is getting what he needs nutritionally and there aren't any weaknesses but it doesn't mean there isn't a physical problem, obviously. So we march on and hope to keep him stable. His HCT and HGB are now on the low side so we have to ponder what steps might be necessary to address anemia.
Another crazy day for us. We had an air duct company here early today to clean the ductwork, vents, and dryer hose/vent. Gus appt, golf lesson, appt at Apple Genius bar, grocery shopping. And I'm still working on getting an RN advocate for DM. But I'm headed for the den with my iPad to catch up on your day! Hope it was good! :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG:
