Just a quick check-in this morning.

It's been a long week here. Attie was to the ER vettie on Sunday. I got up and his ears were flaming red and swelling up! I had no idea what was wrong with him, so a few phone calls to several ERs we found one that didn't have an hours long wait. So we hopped over to see one Dr. Brown. Diagnosis was a multi-complicated ear infection, which Attie got a short acting steroid shot to reduce the inflammation, swelling, and pain. Lord I hated to pokey his ear....

We saw his regular vettie the next day and got some ear drops for dogs! He is on these drops for the next 3 weeks! He appears to be better, except for the messiness of the drops and the BG bump from the steroids. I am hoping that starts to wear off today....

Oh I am soooo sorry about the ear problems for Attie. poor guy. That has to be painful. I'm glad they got him in and have him on something now. Healing vines that they heal quick!!! I hope the ear drops do the trick! Those are powerful drops if they are for a drooler. Big hugs Beth!!!

I don't think I ever appreciated fully why babies scream when they have an ear infection until I got one. I hope Attie wasn't too miserable and this clears up quickly.

That' s exactly why I went with him to an ER vet on Sunday, and not waited to see our own vet on Monday...

The shear pain he had to be in...my heart broke and I felt horrible for not catching the severity sooner.

awww poor attie! Dont beat yourself up beth, we all know cats can hide their pain well .. the most important thing is you got him meds and hopefully he starts feeling better quickly!
