Yesterday had a lovely blue start then we hit the pink wall of despair.

11/6 Recap:
AMPS 119 +3 195 +6.5 362 +9.5 362
PMPS 379 +5 360

@Amy, Ella, Rhiannon, Kelly - Sorry for not getting back to you. But Neko and I were in a pink funk last night. Sometimes I really really HATE the damn tumor inside Neko. I so want it to be gone. Besides the needs for insulin, I worry about what else it is doing to her.

OK, enough of that pity party. At least today started yellow and we seem to be moving in the right direction. Neko's feeling better, less grumpy, and so am I. We've had some good scritches and cuddles and cats are now napping inside. It's a November day (which mostly means gray and rainy here), so the solarium is not interesting to the fur kids.

Sorry about all the pink yesterday. I hope Neko keeps sliding down and today is a better day for both of you.

Re: 11/7 Neko PMPS 228

pink yesterday..
yellow today...
We like blue green instead, Neko. ( hinting again)

now I'm going to go look up why the tumor isn't removed.... instead of irradiated.
I like learning! ;-)

+9 271 PMPS 228

Yellow is better than pink. A very strange cycle. I was quite disheartened at that +9, but she went out for walk about just after and things are looking better for tonight. I had a spare package of lamb in the fridge and fed it today. Not sure what the carbs are because that company didn't give me the numbers, but it has less carby ingredients than the brand I usually feed. I might swap out venison for lamb in the furkids rotation next month. They both still love it but it's higher in calorie than venison (but cheaper). :-D

I booked a wellness vetty exam for Neko on Sunday. Not sure what's up with these numbers, but it's time to get her heart murmur checked anyway. I might get a urinalysis done while we are at it.

@Carla - Slow descent today, we are both in better moods.

@Rhiannon - I wish she would listen to you. Tumor is not removed because the size of a cats pituitary is itty bitty. Neko's tumor was .162 cubic centimeters in size, which makes it hard to remove that and not damage surrounding tissue. I seem to remember there were some cats that were operated on in the past.

Re: 11/7 Neko PMPS 228

I know what you mean when you say you worry about what else the tumor is doing to Miss Neko. Pepper's dose may be going down but the tumor is still in there. I worry all the time about whether his health is really improving or not. Sending good vetty vines for Neko's wellness exam. Pepper is due for a cardiology check-up soon, too.

Re: 11/7 Neko PMPS 228

Hi Wendy,
I'm sorry that yesterday was such a downer for you. We all have days like that, but you surely must have extra worries because of the acro. I'm glad that today was better and am sending lots of positive thoughts for Neko's wellness exam on Sunday. I hope that the new brand of lamb will be appreciated by your kitties.

it's raining here (all day), too.

Hugs and scritches,

Ella & Rusty

Pitty parties are allowed here as needed, just remember support is always close by...

And hooray for sunny yellows, a pox on the pinkies.

And onwards with yellow.

@Nancy - We've been more or less stuck at this dose for quite a while now, so it makes me wonder whether the tumor is going to shrink anymore. Overall she is doing much better and I can notice physical and emotional changes to the positive since SRT.

@Ella - I forgot to get the vet to check the heart murmur last time we were there, so I've wanted to get her in soon. Vetty is closed on Monday (Nov 11 holiday) so I'm glad we got in on Sunday. The lamb was a hit! No surprise really. We had a small lull in the rain and Neko got out for a bit, but it's back now.

@Anne - It's great knowing that everyone here feels the same emotions and understands. Purrs help too.
