Good Election Day Morning, Everyone,
It looks like Rusty may have gone lower last night. We have a green AMPS! He slept a lot yesterday, had somewhat higher numbers, and seemed a bit under the weather. He sounded more congested than usual and could be having one of his upper-respiratory flares. I'll be keeping a close eye on him today. The heat didn't come on this morning (typical for the day after the furnace is "serviced"), but I started it manually and it seems to be OK now. It's a good thing, too, because the temperature was 17 degrees F. this morning. Rusty is napping in his little bed next to the radiator. He ate all his nighttime food, had a good test and shot, ate some of his breakfast (Wellness Chicken), and probably will want to stay inside today. It's cold, but the SUN is out!!! Yesterday we had sun for about 5 minutes before the cold and damp locked in again. Today we may have sun all day.
Election Day in NYC and on Long Island and parts of the Hudson Valley will be a challenge because so many people have been displaced from their normal voting places by the hurricane. Governor Cuomo has decreed that those people can sign an affidavit and vote anywhere in the state for the national offices of President and Senator, but will have to forego voting for local candidates if they don't vote in their usual district. I hope it won't be too chaotic.
We are holding Dale and Max close in our hearts today.
