Good Morning, Everyone, and it is good to have daylight when the alarm clock goes off!!

We had a terrible night: Edward was coughing, I had a migraine and my sinuses were killing me; Rusty, however, was fine and kept it all together. This morning he didn't even get us up too early, so I think we have accomplished the time change. We'll see how his numbers do over the course of the day. We had a good test, breakfast, shot, and now Rusty is chillaxing on his perch over the radiator. Cold again this morning (21 degrees F.). Pat doesn't think I should consider 20 degrees cold, since in Feb. I considered it warm!!! In Feb. it is warm! Nothing much on the agenda for today. We are trying to get well again!! We would like to watch the NYC Marathon on TV, but I don't see it on the schedule for any of the channels we get. (Both Edward and I have done the NYC Marathon three times, and we like to keep up with it and re-live the "glory days"!)

Sending lots of healing vines to Calistica, Ozzie, Muffin, Rocket, and all kitties (and beans) in need of them.
Everyone have a good day,

Ella & Rusty

Re: 11/6 Rusty AMPS 95

I hope you and Edward feel better today. I'm liking that green on Rusty today. That color goes so well with his complexion!!

Re: 11/6 Rusty AMPS 95

YAY!! Rusty is green!!! What a great start to the day - I hope he can stay there and have a great green surf.

And you guys: feel better soon!!!

BRRRRRR on the 21, and yes I remember the colder Feb days you wrote about last year. I dunno.... 21 sounds dang cold to me! we are at 32....

Re: 11/6 Rusty AMPS 95

Hi Ella,

I hope you and Edward feel better today. It's to bad you can't find a channel for the NYC Marathon. Wow three times that's great! It would bring back good memories to see it for sure.

Nice # on Rusty this morning. At least he is cooperating and let you sleep a little bit longer.

It was cold here this morning too. [22 degrees] But I guess Pat has a point.

Have a good Sunday. Hope you both sleep better tonight.

Re: 11/6 Rusty AMPS 95

Morning Ella....so sorry about the night you had. But I love Rusty's AMPS!!! So beautiful! Good job Rusty boy!
We are at 64°F and boy,, it is really freezing here. I don't know how you can stand the 20s especially so early in the season!

Ok Auntie Ella I know I said I would bring you some mouse soup yesterday but I was just so hungry I ate it up. Today I promise I will bring some miracle mouse soup and you will be all better!! It's way better than just plain ol chicken noodle soup :-D

Thanks Ella for the link to the insulin cooler, I clicked on it and can't order from Canada so I will give this Patti a call and order one. Who knew they had cool little things like that.....such a great idea.

Amazing on the NYC marathon!

I hope you and Edward get better soon, and great numbers from Rusty today

Ella

Feel better soon. Sending ya some Texas Chili(vegan of course) to help heal what ails you and Edward.

3 Marathons....WOW!!! That's impressive.

And speaking of impressive...Ugh...Rusty numbers...Yay......Lookin' like good ole Rusty-like numbers again.

Oh, and also sending y'all bit of warm Texas rays and heat....we are at 70....purrrrfect.

Re: 11/6 Rusty AMPS 95, +4 102

Wow, I am in awe of you and Edward running a Marathon! Sorry you and Edward are not feeling well and had a bad night. Rusty sure is looking good; now if only he could rub off some of that feeling good to you and Edward. Yes, 20 degrees is cold. It was only 53 when I went outside to the laundry room, and I was cold. I had the heat on all night and also a space heater for Maggie. Feel better soon.

    Rusty's numbers at least must make you feel better! We're in the slow get all the cunk coughed out stage too. I think it sounds worse than it actually is.

Actually, it looks like something I might want to try for myself!! Rusty was encouraged to try the fish oil because of possible allergies (not realizing that he was allergic to fish!). I don't know if I want to give him the plant-based oil just to see what happens. He seems to be sensitive to new foods (and--unlike Stu-- he never eats plants; he doesn't even like catnip!!)

Anyway, I bookmarked the Mega-Red. thanks, Ann!

Re: 11/6 Rusty AMPS 95, +4 102, +6 112, +9 121, PMPS 123

Hi again,
After the "nadir" at AMPS, Rusty has been surfing the lower blues all day--practically flat. We were on day 47 of the present Lev. cartridge and it is almost empty, so this evening I decided to try the Lev. FlexPen that I used for 2 days (Sept. 22 and 24) and then put away again (because at the time I thought Rusty's numbers were not doing what they should). I have since concluded that it was the cat, not the insulin, and since I only drew 4 doses out of it, thought I might try it again. So we are in "experiment mode". I hope it's not a mistake! (I didn't want $50. to go down the drain; this is a pen I bought in the local pharmacy as a single pen, whereas all of my cartridges are "Penfills" from Canada. I just received another shipment of cartridges, so if the FlexPen turns out not to be good, I have back-ups.)

We had a nice 1/2 hour outdoors this afternoon in the sunshine and quite mild temperature. Both Edward and I are feeling a lot better today.

Everyone enjoy the evening,

Ella & Rusty

What a nice flat blue surf! This is nice to see. Good luck with the pen - I expect that it will be fine, and I suppose you will know soon enough if it is not.

Have a great night guys!

Hope you are feeling better!
