Peggy and Mickey (GA)

Hi all,
Have been busy with sick cat-tastrophies for a few weeks. Long story- and not just Mickey. :YMSIGH: Mickey has not had insulin because he is not eating. He was rushed to the vet after he jumped up on my bed and got in my face, which he never does. He was in respitory distress. His tounge was grey and pink. Breathing with his mouth open. I honestly did not think I was going to bring him back home.
He was put into an oxygen tent. And seemed to be doing a little better. He got x-rays. Dexamethasone shot. The telemed consult-stat said that his heart was a little big and he had blood taken for a T630 heartworm combo test. Results not in yet. His lungs were clear. Seems it is in his nose. He has ciprofloxacin, eye drops that help his nose. He is already on orbax as are three of my other cats. Trying to eliminate who is peeing on my counter. I syringed up the evidence and took it to the vet. A raging urinary tract infection. Have it pinned down to Mickey, Matilda or Thomas right now. If it continues I have to try the other three suspects.
He is doing no worse today but really no better. He coughs, coughs, then the nose starts. It started the other day with just the coughing. Most part of the day he did that. Now it sounds like there is liquid or something blocking him from breathing. And it is pretty loud. Like a weezing, gurgly sound. So he is mostly breathing from his mouth. Will keep you up dated. When we get past this, hopefully his numbers will go down. And if it is him with the UTI the numbers will go down even more. (they are not in my ss as of yet)
I also got two of my foster kittens back after 4 months. THE FORMER FAMILY claims that they were destructive and were pooping all over their house. Funny, that was on a Friday and on Sunday when I called to see what food they were on and to get the Spay/shot records. They left for Florida for a week. Well they are back out with the population and are totally normal kittens. So now my house is up to nine cats.
Hope all is well with you all and your kitties! Take care
