Happy caturday everyone! Wow - and what a cycle yesterday morning :-D - Mannie had a thing for keeping his numbers on the 50's - quite the flat curve there for a bit. We did, however have a nice little bounce to the pinks by pmps. He did manage to get back to the yellows, only to return to the pinks this morning. It's not uncommon for him to do that - a pink start. I hope we can leave it behind soon enough, find those yellows blues and greens once again. How about it Mannie? What'd'ya say?

One more day for this time change thing.... Mannie and the civvies do not like it one bit - all three were complaining last night - such a fuss! This morning wasn't any better - to them the bean is 45 minutes late with the breffis service, and they sure let me know it. You could have heard them down the street. shesshhhhh! Mannie's good this morning - we have 3 p's. i never know on the LB, short of the litter that he brings upstairs - always some stuck in his fur. :shock: silly boy! Breffis #1, #2 consumed - heartily -after all the bean was late in serving and in his opinion was starving him. Nanners regrouped, slobbered on, chewed and gently licked - now being napped on. Normalcy in Mannieland, once we got past the breffis issue.

Have a great day everyone! It will be a busy one here - I've got to get all prepped for my daughter's baby shower tomorrow. WOOT - somehow I ended up hosting this... much to do! Somewhere amongst all the chaos I hope to get a walk in on the local trails. paws crossed on that one.

Happy Caturday, Michelle! Mannie did have a beautiful cycle yesterday and he's very good about coming down from his bounce. I know what you mean about the kitties hating the time change. You'd think I was starving the kitties at our house - so much crying this morning. :lol: It's very exciting that your daughter is having a baby and how nice that you are hosting the shower. When is she due?

One of your civvies liked to wash her food? How funny is that! I bet it did make a mess. So did she like mushy consistency or was she part racoon? I always wonder what's going on in their little minds. I haven't had too much complaining about the time change. I haven't put the heat on in the house yet even though it has been a little chilly at night. I like to sleep a little cool and hunker down into the blankets but it makes it hard to get up for those night checks. :oops: I've been leaving xtra food down so I don't have to get up. lazy lazy bean. Frost on the ground this morning, so I've lit a fire and finally turned on the heater. Hope Mannie leaves that pink behind in short order.

eta: just saw Ele's note, baby shower today?

Hi Ele! omg - poor Mannie! he just does not like his food schedule messed with - he has spent this morning checking his bowl, and the auto feeder singing to them both: "where is it???" I sure hope he adjusts soon... :lol: My daughter isn't due til 1/4 ( i know - a holiday baby...). we elected to host this now, rather than trying to have one during the holiday season, which would just be an omg for everyone.

Hi Kim! ahhhhh - a fire! I do love those - always takes the chill off. nice! Mannie would love you - he's a fire cat, without a doubt. Loves to lay as close as he can, belly exposed, soaking up all that heat. And yes on the civvie washing her food. I had to finally stop with the fountain, just cuz it was always clogged up with food. It was just the funniest thing - scoop, dunk, wash, scoop. :lol: :lol: what a soupy mess. Sounds nice with the frosty morning - i love those. cold, fire on, a great day.

That's funny that your civvie washes the food.....I have one that plays ice hockey w/her kibble when she gets bored (evo kibble...she's not a convert yet).

Wonderful news about your daughter.....shall we call you grandmabean???

And Mannie always seems to provide you w/fun evenings......seems be a scuba diver in the pm cycle......that's got to be exhausting for you.

Hi Michelle, nice to get Mannie out of the pink, huh? Funny, how many of our cats are complaining about the time/breffis, change. Checkers just sat and stared at me, when It was his normal shot time. Not sure he noticed food was late, though.
Hope you manage to get a walk in. You'll need a break from all the shower work. :smile:

Yea, Mannie is coming down, but with that drop I wouldn't count on him passing up on the bungees. I hope you have them all stowed in a locked cabinet! :lol:

Have fun at the shower, no wait, you are the hostess, it will all be a blur. How do Mannie and the civvies deal w/ company?

Michelle...glad you are moving towards getting the windows done in the basement...that should make it warmer all over right..no drafts up the stairs :lol:
Looks like Mannie may not give you much time to work on the baby shower...holy cow...that is ALOT of work!! I know it will be fun for you...can't remember
if this is your first grandchild? I know you are very excited!! Move over Mannie!!!

That's so funny about the civvie washing her breffis. One of ours likes to drink water with food still in his mouth so we're always getting little floaties in the bowls!

Hope you get everything done today and get your walk in AND Mannie lets you get some sleep tonight for the big day tomorrow.

Mannie..I heards you were going to be an uncle!!! That's fun (NOT). Want to go do sumpin today...we could go get everyone and Muffins too...we still lub
her and she still has to watch what she eats.

oh, michelle...here's one for you.

when i was a kid, a raccoon took up residence in our wood shed. momster was thrilled...he was cute and entertaining...and she fed him dog food twice a day. then she got worried cuz he quit eating the dog food...poor lil guy, she thought, and worried, and fussed...until the day we spotted him sitting at the edge of the fish pond out back...busily helping himself to her prize goldfish!!!
he was Raccoona Non Grata in her book forever after... :lol:

Back in the blues for Mannie!! Nice job yesterday!! Raja gives me so much grief for awhile after the time change. she sees her little watch and the light from outside and the darkness makes her believe that her Mama is slacking off again!
It is going to be dark earlier and that's what she goes by...I will hate my life this coming week. She will be tormenting me an hour early for I don't know how long! :YMSIGH:
These past few days she has been early too but it is nothing compared to what she will do from now on!

wow! I go for a walk - a foggy, misty, little drizzly cool temp walk, and come home to all you wonderful people that have visited Mannie today. This morning just couldn't get any better. This is so OT, but I have to share. I live near an area that has a creek that runs through the woods to the shore. It is one of the few creeks in the area that support salmon. This morning our annual salmon run has started. WOOT!!!! - 3 fish on the move upstream this morning. Truly an amazing thing to be able to watch.

Sienne - oh please let it be so - I have searched high and low, and all the bungees are secure -- i think....

Morning Tena - :-D :lol: :? on the hockey with the kibble. yeah - have one of those too - the one that washed her food. she is a riot and a half... :-D omg on the grammiebean! :-D and yes on the dives - but I am so used to them now that it's just what we deal with... never ever a dull moment with this one.

Hi Barb - glad the pink is gone - yes! i kind of expected it - he spent so long at 50 yesterday - i had hoped it would just be yellow - ok though, he comes down soon enough these days.

Mannie!!!! oh - i am co-host with the other mom - she wanted it at her house - phew and fine by me. all the cats love company - they are always out in the middle of the crowd. especially Mannie - I truly think he hopes they don't know he has FD and will sneak him food. funny - I have to give my lecture when anyone is here - they always cave to his persistent stare...

Hey Iorwen - the kitties are right there with you! I keep telling myself - one more day... and then the adjustment hopefully will settle. it takes them about a week. funny thing - i so rely on then being my backup alarm in the morning - i hope they figure this out soon or I am in deep trouble....

Hey marjorie! YAY on the windows - it is longggggggggg overdue. :-D and yes - first grandbaby. it will be interesting to see how Mannie reacts. He really is a people cat - I think in the long run it will be good. me and the other grammie are sharing sitting duties when my daughter returns to work - that will be interesting. Mannie has never had to deal with babies... :lol: :lol: :lol:

My gosh it has been a while... rains just starting to get underway here. they predict a gruesome winter - temps in the 20's, lots of snow - prediction is that it will be the worst winter - as bad as the one on record from the 1950's. and many thanks on Mannie - what a haul - but so worth it!

Hi Pat! i know... darn kitties! they are so deprived ya know, and now i make them wait, and then it will all be messed up cuz tomorrow their inner clock will say food... my clock will say noooooooooooooo, and then all chaos will break out. :shock: the hollering! and meowing! :roll: it just keeps escalating... who came up with this crazy dts time thing anyways... they should have consulted the cats. :lol:

Wanna go for a drive...how many cans we get in the roadster? Great food last night Mannie...you outdid yourself...Muffins had to be ecstatic wif that menu...all her favorite things..esp milkshake..yummmmm. Want some cornbread...I still have a little stored in my cheeks :lol:

sorry to be MIA this afternoon - I just had to get some of this stuff ready for tomorrow's baby shower. I have been on the shopping trip from hell - omg! babies'r'us: nightmare city! I didn't think they could pack that many people into one store - not to mention what the parking lot looked like. :shock:

Gracie! yeah - i'm getting poked too - but not as much as yesterday. my bean doesn't like my numebrs at all today - lots of sighs and stuff. Hey - sounds so good, yes! let's go for a drive. The roadster can hold so many!!! Lots of room. YAY then on the fuds for Muffin! The milkshake was OK? Golly, Mannie, I don't check in on you until night time and where are you? Stuck in PINK!! Now, we know the grandbaby is going to be a girl, but you don't have to broadcast it so loudly!

Hi Michelle, Neat about the salmon run! Not so neat about shopping for a baby shower on a Saturday!! Neat that the shower is at the other grandma-to-be's house!!! Have a good time and don't worry about Mannie's numbers.

HI ella - thanks, I needed that. sometimes I think we get too caught up in the black and white, don't allow enough for the gray. Mannie's feels good - doing all the Mannie things. so back at it in the morning. At least tonight he can have a break from all those pokes. he's happy about that - now if he can be happy about the time thing... I suppose in a day or two he'll come around. and yes - very cool on the fish - and YAY: the shower is not at my house - i don't have to clean! :lol: :lol:

I am sorry that I am pink... i don't like pink. :YMSIGH: well i will work real hard and try to be a better color tomorrow. we have another otj party coming up in a couple of days. we get to go to montana! I've never been there before, but i hear it i real nice, and very pretty. I am so stoked - and working very hard on a menu fit for a montana cat. Muffin's was so fun - i got to make an FD friendly milkshake- that was really hard. i hear you have snow now. that is so cool. I hope to take the kitties on a road trip to a ski place so we can ski and snowboard. cool huh! Gots to go mow! Lubs you!! ~~ Mannie

Hey Gracie! It was fun - I like road trips alot. They say we are supposed to get alot of snow in the mountains soon - like maybe this weekend. maybe we should go skiing? I've never been before - but it sure looks like fun. ~~ Mannie
