Re: 11/6 Do Lou amps202

I saw the note on your SS about the "bad" Lantus. I wonder if there was a problem with a batch? I had a bad set of pens but I was attributing it to mishandling at the pharmacy -- I saw the desk person smack the box around.

Would you let me know what your kitties think about the ceramic fountain? I hate the way my Drinkwell one develops calcium deposits.

Re: 11/6 Do Lou amps202

Hi Lisa. Do Lou is so close to blue, wonder what he will do today.

I'd like to know how you like the ceramic fountain. I also have the problem with calcium. Using filtered water doesn't even help much.

Re: 11/6 Do Lou amps202

+3 180 and last 2 LB P's are now present and yes Sienne and Barb will let you both know how Do Lou and I like this new style fountain it also comes in stainless steel if one prefers that over ceramic

Well the lantus company was very nice to work with completely understanding and were quick to take care of my issue they called walgreens to tell them I was bringing in the old box in exchange for a new one and according to walgreens they are to mail it to the company. Walgreens was very very rude to me when I tried to talk to them just a long lecture from I am guessing the pharmacist about my cat could be sick my meter could be bad which I explained I had 3 and had tried them all and that FD conditions change every day it was really frustrating I will not get my lantus from them again will be doing my business elsewhere did not like the way I was spoke to at all and I was trying to be very nice about it just wanted to point out how strange it was that all the sudden when starting these new pens that all the sudden it was like he was not on insulin all the pink we were getting

Blue! Very nice, Do Lou. I hope you get to see some green today, Lisa. We don't use a water fountain because Blackie doesn't like it when the water moves. He'll walk away if you pour fresh water into his bowl. Good for you in contacting Lantus and getting the new pens. I have had issues with Walgreens too lately. Have a great Caturday, Lisa.

Re: 11/6 Do Lou amps202+3 180

Morning Lisa - DL starting out with good numbers today, I hope it's a great Caturday for him.

Cool looking fountain, just looked it up. I was home yesterday afternoon with a repair guy and took that time to get the white vinegar after my drinkwell. Mine gets calcium too but not too bad. All my animals like the moving water, even the yapper. I'll be interested to see what you think about your new one.

Have a good day.

Re: 11/6 Do Lou amps202+3 180

nice numbers Do Lou - looks like you will have a good day today. YAY!

Nice on the water fountain - too bad the old one broke. I used to have one. one of the civvies liked to wash her food in it - ohmygod_smile and what a mess that made. She'd haul it over there by the pawfull, wash it up, and then try to paw it out of there. what an unreal gunky mess. What was funny was that she usually managed to scoop most of it out - i hope the new one works for you. maybe I will try again - hopefully she will have grown out of the habit.

And good for you on the lantus.

Re: 11/6 Do Lou amps202+3 180

soory about your fountain Do Lou. Hope the replacement comes quickly.
that +3 sure looks nice though.

Re: 11/6 Do Lou amps202+3 180

Happy Caturday: Nice +3 for Do Lou. Hope he surfs nicely for you. Sorry about the insulin. I have had several issues with Walgreen's regarding meds for me. I no longer go there. Good luck with the fountain. How are the kittens doing? I may have missed a post or two regarding them. Have a great day.

Lisa

Nice numbers for DL today...I hope he keeps trending downward for you.

I had Drinkwell fountains but hated the plastic. Then they made a stainless steel one and I had nothing but problems so I returned it. THEN I bought the Pioneer
Pet one that you ordered...LOVE IT!!!! The water doesn't splashy down like the other fountains and so the cats like it better. The only thing that I don't like
is it only comes in black in the ceramic...I would caution against the stainless because they are making it in that...it really stains with water spots and we have
soft water. I highly recommend this fountain so am excited you are getting it. Hope DL and all the others like it. I think I am going to order a second one.

BTW, I got some pens from Costco and the first one I opened had bubbles in it. I took it back and they replaced the entire box without blinking an eye...they were
very nice.

Have a great day!

well my first pen had some air bubbles too but I was like hmmm thats weird so DUH.... used it for 2 days and then another pen with no bubbles you know at first I thought I caused the bubbles but now after using pens again and not having any bubble trouble I am guessing they were already there but to be honest I paid so little attention to the first pen on the first draw I have no idea what it looked like it was on the amps shot that I noticed the inside was full of many tiny bubbles and I thought to myself did I do that  but I think they must have been there to begin with since to this day I have not had any more bubbles wish walgreens had been a nice as costco instead of talking to me like I was just stupid.

Ow, Kittens :-D do you have any video of the cuteness ?

When I first switched from Lantus to Levemir, I had lots of frustration with the bubbles in the Levemir pen. I thought it was just the difference in the insulin and that Levemir was more bubbily than Lantus. I swear I waste as much insulin as I use, throwing out into the sink entire doses often, because of the bubbles that stubornly will not come out of the syringe.
That pharmacist you went to doesn't have people skills, and if I was treated like that, I wouldn't go back there either. Or, you could just do, like we have to do with lots of the vets out there, and just nod your head, and know you are above them in diabetes knowledge.

Hi Lisa, Good that that nasty Walgreens is grudgingly replacing your pens!! Have you tried ordering from Canada? I ordered the cartridges from CanadaDrugsOnline and had no problems with them whatsoever.
That fountain looks great. Can't wait to hear how you like it. Stu had the Petsafe and loved it. I cleaned it every morning and evening, just to keep it sanitary. When I would take it up to clean it he would wait patiently until it was refilled and then rush over to it. It was wonderful to see him so happy about water!!
The kittens are really coming along. Have a good weekend.

Ella

Just realized i read your condo this morning, but got distracted and never posted. I've had bubbles in cartridges but the never caused a problem. Once I actually saw very tiny bubbles streaming up just after I stuck the needle in. I assumed the larger bubbles I saw toward the end of using a cartridge, was a consolidation of those.

I like the looks of that ceramic fountain. We measure how much water Tess drinks every day though and not sure how that would work.

Hey Lisa...see you're still up....I'm watching Gracie...she's still going down at +5. I'm so happy to see her numbers. Think I'll go take a nap and check her again at +6. Sleep tight.
