11/5 - Morris Update - been a long time! +8 101 PMPS 56

Hi to all of our 'old' friends! It has been quite some time since I last posted here. Overall, things have been going really well for Morris! His numbers have been looking good (when I check them) and he has been looking & acting extremely healthy!

I took Morris to the vet at the beginning of Sept for his yearly check up. The vet was quite pleased with how healthy he is looking, his weight, and his BG numbers. We did discover 1 little problem though - he is in DESPERATE need of a dental! I have managed to talk my dh into letting me spend all this money & we now have Morris booked for labwork & ECG (his heart drops a beat about once per minute so my vet wants to check that as well to make sure he can handle the anesthesia) on Nov 10, and then if those numbers are good enough, he will have his dental done on Nov 17.

I have updated our spreadsheet recently so that we don't have to scroll so far down any more! I have created Volume 2 & this spreadsheet starts on Aug 1, 2011. I haven't tested him very much recently as I haven't wanted to bother him too much when I know his teeth are really bothering him right now. I have decided, however, to get back on track with the testing routine now! I know that when he has his dental done, that can really affect BG numbers, so I want to get data ready before his surgery so that I will have something to compare with after his dental.

Please let me know if there have been any major changes around here that I've missed!

I did mention in my post that I haven't been testing lately. I am going to get back on track now though!

hi, i just joined in february so we haven't met, but i wanted to say welcome back!

glad you're going to get back on track with the testing, especially before you get that dental done. your morris is a cutie - gotta get those toofs cleaned up & keep him safe!! his dose needs may change with the dental too.

YAY! He ate all of his food today! His appetite has really been up & down lately - I think because his teeth are so bad right now.

Don't forget to adjust your meter times as well as your clock times tonight! I LOVE it when we get this extra hour of sleep!

Hi there, I just joined in May so I'm still a newbie - welcome back! Has Morris been eating too many Nanaimo bars and that's why he needs the dental? ;-)
