Happy Caturday!!! Sending healing vines to our Sweet Muffin and Happy One Year OTJ!!!! Also sending healing vines to Ozzie and Rocket.
Gracie had a lot of hours in healing numbers and probably would have had more except I had to give her 10% instead of 8% because one of us used the last can of 8% without realizing it. We normally only use the 10% if she is booming down like a house on fire. I gave her 6% at +2.5 hoping to bump her up a bit but it didn't do too much and so at +3....which is VERY early in a lev cycle to be at 53 (esp when she should be going up), I gave her some 10% and a little bit of karo. She did come back down and at +7.5, I gave her a tiny bit of 10% again.....I probably should have used the 6% but decision-making in the middle of the night when I am a fog brain is not my forte. At any rate, I'm hoping her +5 today is the extent of her little bounce and she'll come back down. We both went btb for two hours after T/F/S and got in some extra snuggle time.
Wow did we ever get the wind and rain last night!! It got really windy early in the evening and the temp dropped but right after I laid down around midnight, the rain hit with a vengeance and it poured up here at our house for about 5 hours. I can't remember the last time we got that much rain over such a long time period but we needed it. This morning after I got breffis, I ran to the feed store to get more 8% and then when I got home, I cleaned up the patios where the wind had blown stuff almost 15' from the patio edge to the house. Thankfully, all those Sunbrella cushions we bought last summer really shed the water and were almost dry by the time I got out there to clean up a bit.
Mr. Rattlesnake was in absentia this morning so I am hoping he has decided to stay tucked away in his little cubby. I saw that Rosalie and Beth visited our condo late last night. Yes, Rural Metro Fire will come and get them; however, relocating a rattlesnake very far from it's home range will result in its death and as a wildlife biologist...I don't want that. I could have called them and had them relocate it on our property but he would come back to his favorite places. Since he has been a resident on our property for some time, I really didn't want to do anything that would result in his death; we just know to be very careful. He's been pretty chilly the last few days so has been in a bit of a torpor out there. Not that he wouldn't bite if provoked but he was far enough away from the sidewalk and under the shrub that he wouldn't bother anyone if they didn't mess with him.
Off to visit a few condos before a nappus! Have a great day.
